    Actually, since the UK joined the Common Market, this old Imperial unit of measurement has been superseded by its metric equivalent, the Belgium .

    We do NOT use that type of language around here!

    But by then there will be a 500 TB drive on the horizion, so the question really is, when do you buy something like this, when is the best time to get the most bang for your buck?

    About 9 months to a year after it comes out. Newer, faster, larger versions usually come out about then, making the last "new, fast, large" unit fall in price.

    If there has been a jump in technology the time may be shorter, but 9 to 12 months is a good rule of thumb.

    Also, the blood from the "bleeding edge" tends to clot by then...

    My boys want used toys...so they can take them and make other stuff.

    My first grader makes toys out of cardboard and tape (miles of tape, I have to hide tape).

    My fifth grader has moved from taking old electronics apart for the hell of it to making breadboard circuits.

    They both get together and make toy electric cars out of cardboard, motors and wheels. They have cleaned out my stock of switches and battery holders and are now hitting allelectronics.com and rat shack.

    They didn't show ships being shot down, Carter's Tollan boyfriend described it via a through-gate radio link.

    He said all the ships were being shot down.

    Of course, there could be some Tollan off world, but the Tollan as a race are pretty much toast.

    When I say "nuke" I mean obliterated, destroyed, reduced survivors to slavery, etc.

    And what represents "traditional bombardment" anyway? Are those energy blasts nuclear in nature?

    Knowing the Tollan and the way they feel about their technology, they probably set off any bombs remaining after the warehouse blew up to keep Anubis from getting them and any other remaning technology. We never saw any evidence of Tollan tech used by Anubis.

    Anubis is freezing his vapor off on P3X9203919238293839030 anyway...

    It sounds like you were the exception. Granted, salespeople are annoying in general, but I have found commissioned salepeople much worse.

    It's not just the lying. They are the ones who walk away when they find out you aren't buying the expensive item.

    People at Future Shop with Dark Blue Shirts are on commission - people in Light Blue are not.
    If you are going to buy something from Future Shop, consider giving the business to the guys in the Dark Blue shirts, you don't pay any more for the item, but at least the employees get some of the profit, and not all to Best Buy.


    Meaning the Dark Blues have more incentive to lie and generally screw you over?

    Like many things, the packaging costs more than the product.

    Cigs probably cost about 50 cents a pack or less to make...

    I have been trying to come up with a working design for a pocket vaproriser for years.

    Damn if this thing doesn't have potential.

    It's the heat that's the problem. An electrical heating element would be best, but electrical heat needs a lot of power.

    No or minimal smell would be nice too.
