for the wireless internet company I used to work out, we'd send an email alerting people of tower outages in their area...
Hope they don't combine this with this , would make it pretty messy

The record was set about 100k SW of Melbourne (Actually the Australian Automotive Research Centre near Anglesea) in Victoria, in Winter.
The temps there in the last week were around 12 Deg C (55 F)
So much for 'less dense' air
