True, just connect on the t-con of the LCD matrix of the TV, and with an FPGA and some RAM, you store the whole picture as you receive it, and save it via PCIe, double the RAM for double buffering of course, so while a frame is being sent to the PC, another one start to fill memory. On your PC where you receive the frame via PCIe, encode it with your GPU in realtime or just save it on your 4TB RAID array or something.

True, all family had G2 years ago, last year my GF upgraded to the G6, but SD450 and the lack of NFC was a killer for me. I bought a Nokia 6.1 because it fitted all my needs, NFC, FHD screen, SD, ac wifi, audio jack, QC3.0, usb-c, 2 sims, AndroidONE so I get new version and update very quickly, very well solid design in a one-piece aluminium shell, etc. But the Nokia 7.1 is really a fabulous deal too for a couple $ more.

The Nokia 6.1 was $229 at BestBuy, you could not beat that for a SD630 phone!! Forget the SD4x0 they are all to slow.

Google could put its sticker on a Nokia and people would love it.

  13. I cannot believe there is no NFC on new cellphones...everywhere in the world we use NFC to pay with our phone, or do others things ; except in USA so US cellphones do not have NFC, great! This is why I bought a Nokia, I have the 6.1 but the X6 or 7.1 are wonderful for the same price as the G7. The 6.1 is cheaper than the G7 Power and has better specs.

I'm in Canada and for ~2 years now I pay everywhere with my phone... first it was with my zenfone2 and now my nokia, anyway before that I tapped my card on the paypass terminal.

I pay with my phone for my gas, various groceries, various generic noname dollar store, fruit/vegetable corner store, canadian tire, dollarama, costco, etc, everywhere!

The 2 only stores I found in 2 years that do not accept NFC payment are: Walmart, Michaels.

Also I often go in the USA, last time I paid with my phone in a CVS, the cashier was speechless and didn't understand what happenend. When I wanted to pay with my phone in a Pizza Hut, the waitress had to ask the manager if they accept it and how to do it (yes, it worked), same thing in big lots or family dollar, the cashier did an instant barbarian move when I paid with my phone... but everywhere in the world people are doing this!!!

Also in the USA they still use magnetic strips, but worst of it, when I pay with my chip or my phone, they hand me a paper to sign, it's stupid, I just entered my PIN code on the terminal and I have to sign?!?

Excuse me OP but technologies in the US is wwwaaaayyyyy back compared to the rest of the world.

Also last time I checked Android/Samsung pay is free for the stores, but ApplePay wants 0.5% of the transaction, maybe this is why stores refuse apple pay.

Eveything works, wifi, bluetooth, etc.

Also, I can use it to develop my devices going into cars, as it has a 13.1" screen, is small, lightweight, and can compile my ATMEGA project in 10 seconds, upload via USB in 4 seconds.

I think you can find MINI311 for less than $100 on eBay, Mint XFCE is perfect for it.
