    ZFS and Dtrace were made by sun microsystem for open solaris... It's only recently that a project was FUNDED to have zfs on linux.

    I also hope this is in their future plan, but rebuilding all package for 64bit will propably take a while.

    Not everyone can afford cable TV, so they have to figure out other methods of entertainment.

    Well I can afford it but as mentionned in the article, 25 = 40 a month because of hiddent fee, and the amount of profit they make is disgusting. Not enough competition it's true.

    I use a voip line which give me acces to an IVR (a menu) For the phone to actually ring, they need to dial the right number or it simply hang after 6 seconds. Final twist (might be why it actually work) The message in the menu greeting that that mention the number is in another language than english. sucess after 5 years is 100%

    When you worked at the company, you spent 100% of your time doing what you are best at.

    I think this is the flawed logic here... usually they will force you into doing shit you hate. the amount of work you truly excel / or have motivation to do will propably be lower than that. I would say spending 85% of doing what you are good at is awesome, 50% still ok, but If I were to guess the majority of people don't get much above 50% and just endure it.

    I think (hope) no one will disagree when I state that Linux won over BSD, at least in popularity. But what made it won? Was it Torvald charisma alone? The lawsuit that hit BSD? Simply the software quality? I think many would disagree about that, BSD was still more mature no matter what. Timing? yep sorry it seems gpl did had a big impact. Or a larger amount of programmer liked the idea.
