Personally, I think the fine should be ALL of the ill-gotten profits. If they benefit by ten million, take that ten million, plus a punitive fine. If they profit by 100 million, take that 100 million, plus a punitive fine.

For that to be fair you can't just take the money from the companies bank accounts now. The current owners of the company are not entirely the same people as those who owned it when the fraud was perpetrated. Countless investors have bought and sold over the years and the investors who own the company today may not have benefitted from the fraud at all. If I bought dell shares two weeks ago why should I pay a fine while investors who profited and sold years ago are laughing to the bank?

For me as a website operator the best solution would be to have this as a DNS option. Some flag that is returned with the DNS request that says to the browser "Connect to IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously if IPv6 works within X milliseconds of IPv4 note that in the DNS cache and use IPv6 for all subsequent connections otherwise use the IPv4 connection and drop IPv6". If that was an option I would add IPv6 support today. Otherwise it's just a waste of time. It would also be nice if, during the transition period, the OS could figure out if the ISP supports IPv6 and, if not, auto disable it but I can't think of a non hacky way of doing that.

Well, there is an entire page devoted to privacy for "Apps" with every option I can think of. (I've unchecked them all).

Also, I can pick my friends and customize what they can see. Some friends I can limit. I suppose trusted friends can be hacked but I don't see what facebook can do about that. That's an intrinsic risk one takes when sharing information with another party. My bank can be hacked. Anyone I give information to can be hacked. I suppose the age old adage "Choose your friends wisely" applies.

"Friends of Friends" is an option in the privacy settings as well. It's pretty easy to set everything to "Friends Only" if you want.

When they added "Instant personalization" a dialogue showed up the first time I logged in explaining it and I unchecked the related box. It's also on the privacy page.

So again what privacy settings are missing? It seems I can control everything I can think of pretty easily...
