    I know _you_ don't imply it but it's funny like all the people are complaining about lack of _enterprise_ features in DBMS Xxxx... Like all the DBs on earth are enterprise level. You know what? There are _tons_ of RDBMS applications besides bean-counting. And most _enterprise_ class RDBMS won't fit _there_.

    Right! But, uhm, care to name _one_ system that don't ever loose the data? (Hey! I've been losing data on _all_ FS's I tried so far I think. Except Reiser, maybe. No - not so crappy HW).
    Second - do you really want the fat (not FAT! :) journaling FS in your digicams and stuff?

    When I needed once to view some "wholly locked" file I finally did this: launch VMWare, connect host drive for the guest system, copy said locked file(s) from the guest system to your host system over virtual network. I said it's silly ;)

    I doubt the implied "All 3D, CGI" stance. I think what this (may) mean is that they'll go with drawings done on computer (with planchet/pen) instead of traditional "cell's". Cost savings are considerable that way AFAIK. That's the same trend Japanese studios have been going too. Even 1997 "Mononoke Hime" is done completely in digital format but of course it's not 3D at all (except some parts, of course).

    Well, if you were to be _really_ evil you would serve banners as 1x1 color pixel grid tables instead of images (with cells merged as needed as optimization) ;) I've seen a couple of tools for doing that and of course it's not hard at all to make your own. I wonder why it is not used more widely. That would piss off even more users! Think about profits!

    Amen. And take Usenet for example - ads banned, communication flourishes. And barring trolls and spammers signal/kB ratio tends to be quite a bit higher than on the web.
