I have to disagree with you here, you CAN choose a shape tool when using a drawing program on a computer. But you can also use a ruler or stencil if you are drawing by hand. You can use the freehand tool and learn just as much about drawing a circle on the computer as you can on a sheet of paper. I don't know what age computers SHOULD be introduced, but your argument doesn't really hold water.
depositions- a lot of the deposition is about asking 20 million dumbass questions going into every single little detail about the most trivial things. If you numb the mind of the person you are questioning then they are more likely to slip up when you ask them the important things (usually disguised as more boring detail ones).
maybe not more vulnerable but more attacked, if you were mounting a DDOS attack would you use a bunch of dial-up users? wouldn't work that way, you would use people with fast, perm connections to the net.
Yes, gun sites ARE appropriate for kids. There is nothing wrong with the proper use of firearms. If you are worried that your child will upon seeing a firearm, take it and go shoot people then you need to get off the computer and spend more time teaching your child what is right from wrong.
I'm not saying that I agree with what AOL is apparently doing, but come on...it's AOL.
I thought that the US taxpayer paid for the LoC. I was really suprised that it belongs to James Billington! If the public has a demand for it to be online, then it should be online. It should be evaluated now if the demand will exist (not always accurate but it's better than half-assing it when the demand does exist). I think it is insane for Mr. Billington trying to make the place sound like it's his personal library and you should only read books how HE says, and you should only be able to read them HOW he says.
I personally can't stand reading online, but online material gives me access to it from wherever I am.
Laws will not be written to stop these types of calls, even if they could. These companies have lobby groups, the people don't. They would toss around enough $$$ if laws started to form.
Ya know, I'm sick of people like you bitching and whining about people who have a lot of money. It is their money. They have no responsibility to give it to poor people. If they want to, that is great. But just because someone has cash doesn't mean that they have to give it to someone else. It's sick the way people that make a lot of money have to pay so damn much in taxes. It should be a flat tax. They usually earn that much for a reason.
I'm sure if you got a million dollars tomorrow you would give me a chunk of it right?
Bullshit, go earn the money yourself and stop expecting handouts.
Will it whip a Crusoe? The Crusoe is not really designed to run a billion MPH...it's mostly about low power consumption while still being able to do your work.
I'm sure it was something sent to him...but it goes against what he is ranting about...I didn't think he wrote it..but he put it up on his site...making fun of people who don't have the experience to cut and paste...at the same time ranting about others doing the same thing!
I worked for the US Army in that type of a position. It was a very good move. Not only was it easy work, but it was fun. Employers also look upon it VERY highly and give you more $$$ after you get out of the Army. So ya the pay is low while you are in..but it is an investment, you get more out of it in the end. And I get to play with guns and mortars (mortars are VERY fun) Wolfgang Spangler
9. If you still absolutely MUST forward that 10th-generation message from a friend, at least have the decency to trim the eight miles of headers showing everyone else who's received it over the last 6 months. It sure wouldn't hurt to get rid of all the that begin each line. For the love of God, LEARN HOW TO COPY AND PASTE!!!!!
and number 6...
6. There is no "Good Times" virus. In fact, you should never, ever, ever, forward any email containing any virus warning unless you first confirm it at an actual site of an actual company that actually deals with viruses. Try: www.norton.com. And even then, don't forward it. We don't care! And you cannot get a virus from opening an email. you have to download...ya know, like, a FILE!
Not only is he incorrect about not being able to get a virus via e-mail (as users of Win95/8/nt and outlook have found out lately). But he (in number 9) doesn't explain how to copy and paste...or what headers are...he just makes fun of people who don't get rid of them by calling them morons.
Last I read on the site it said "the first week". Up till today it read December 3rd. I was unable to find anything that said it would be released today. The structure is there on the FTP site but there is nothing in it.
I think you are referring to this recent/. article. According to the press release by LinuxPR it IS supposed to be in SUSE 6.3, "...and we are pleased that with the release of SuSE 6.3 with journaling ReiserFS included we will be the first Linux vendor to ship journaling functionality" (taken from the abovementioned article).
I e-mailed SUSE about this 4 days ago but have yet to get a response.
Even though you don't want to, you should remember that not everyone is a high-speed computer geek. If people still didn't listen to AM every hour of every day they would not be broadcasting. Go out hunting sometime, and while you are taking the 8 hour drive to Detour in the UP try to get some FM radio stations.
how can such a thing be imposed? with everywhere computers are showing up now...fridges...microwaves...toasters....3 years is a long time. Look at where they are now from three years ago! He would be unable to attend school, is THAT what the system wants? Not defending what he did, punish him and let him go about his life. If he does it again punish him more severely. This isn't like shooting someone and being unable to use a gun for 10 years or something...the puter industry is a little different.
we used a system in my English class in college that did all of that. The name fails me, but it was 3 years ago or so...

It sounds like CNN BS to me also though
Yah, the NETSEC guy, but the media is still clueless. It's not like they listened to that guy, they just reprinted his words.
You would be able to say you don't like Apogee products...but you wouldn't be able to use thier logo and follow that up with 'sucks ass' or anything.
Of course, I'm tired and ready to go home, so maybe I'm just reading it stupid-like.

What a whining stump.
e-mail Ellen Messmer Directly: emessmer@nww.com
Of course be polite...
Although she didn't go into detail and explain more about the etoy vs etoys battle she DID give the impression that etoy was the bad guys....
instead of just complaining and raggin on Hemos...why don't YOU look them up and post a link if you consider him to be such a threat?
If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem...

bah, I think it has already been ruled that numbers can't be patented. Wasn't that the ruling when Intel tried to patent "586"?
