    I agree it is a proper word to be used. But the connotations that word carries with it usually make people think of some hill in Kentucky and a guy named Cooter uttering it while on his porch whittlin or something.

    Or maybe it's just me.

    Warchalking gets it's name from wardialing...where users would dial numbers until they found a computer that answered (see War Games).

    Warchalking is like walking around with a wireless devices, finding a signal, and marking that fact. Usually that is not done by the people running the network.

    eh, not really possible...that's now how the flow works at all, you can't just use any old text editor to create a newspaper. I don't know of any professional (or non professional) publication software that exists for linux..of course I haven't looked.

    BTW the NYT uses Baseview a mac based product.

    did you check the link I posted last time? Good spam filtering software that is free. Actually spamassasin is the filtering software....

    More legislation isn't the answer, I'm sorry if you are sick of it, but that isn't going to solve anything. There is already too much legislation in the US, and the only people it serves are the lawyers.

    I don't think it is a God-given or constitutionally protected right or some such other crap. I think that this is a LONG way down on the list of stuff to do. Lets spend more time enforcing the laws we do have rather than making the system even more screwed up.

    huh, that black bar bothered me for about 5 minutes when they unvieled the "new TNN" (and had that week long 24 hours a day STNG...drooooool) but I haven't even noticed it since then.

    I wasn't even aware that it bothered people, it's not like it is blinking all of the time or something...

    nod...I gotta agree...I have two of these that form an L in my office. Under the L goes the switch, server, printer, scanner...works GREAT. I odn't have it on filing cabinets though...my father built them for me and he found a folding table leg kit (for like 15 bucks). I screwed some of those metal things that rappelers use for holding ropes on the bottom and they make AWESOME cable routers. Gives me tons of space and you can even drop some shelves on top for 'modularity'

    Lutheran School. Taught 6th grade. He made learning FUN, got me into computer science. He stands out as my best teacher.

    Also, Dr. Lawrence Kugler from the University of Michigan, Flint campus. He teaches math, and does it VERY well.

    About half way down in the fact sheet...

    ESTABLISH ACCOUNTABILITY FOR MEDICAL RECORDS USE AND RELEASE

    Penalties for covered entities that misuse personal health information are provided in HIPAA.

    Civil penalties. Health plans, providers and clearinghouses that violate these standards would be subject to civil liability. Civil money penalties are $100 per incident, up to $25,000 per person, per year, per standard.


    While I don't think those penalties are stiff enough, they do exist.

    This makes no mention of places like life insurance companies....the following paragraph is an important one...call your congressman!

It does not provide authority for the rule to reach many persons and businesses that work for covered entities or otherwise receive health information from them. So the rule cannot put in place appropriate restrictions on how such recipients of protected health information may use and re-disclose such information. There is no statutory authority for a private right of action for individuals to
    enforce their privacy rights. We need Congressional action to fill these gaps in patient privacy protections.

    I am sick of these stupid, scare tactic headlines.
    "Doomsday, Tuesday" is the title of the ABCnews.com article...when in the second paragraph it states, "The good news is, experts say that's unlikely to happen again."

    Also at the end it states,
    "Odds are good that we'll still see some sub-optimal performance numbers on election night, but it will be far from catastrophic,"

    Sounds REALLY doomsdayish to me....

    This is a bunch of CRAP. I am not rich, not by any stretch, I just took a second job so I can afford the things I need for my daughter. Does that mean I am entitled to someone elses money? No. Many of these rich people have had to take out massive loans and spend year after year working/learning in order to make big bucks...and now *I* should take it away from them? I don't think so. And if they decide to save a large chunk of it and give it to thier children...I am supposed to complain about that? THAT is complete bullshit. If you want communism then leave the US..because that is what you are proposing.
