her strong libertarian views means she would leave it up to states and local regions to decide what they teach.
I wonder which libertarian views led her to support the Bridge to Nowhere, right up until it became a national disgrace, but still take the money from the Federal Government anyway.
For my money, the Nintendo DS has had the best signal to noise ratio, with regards to the quality of the games, of any system in its first year since the Dreamcast. Probably even better. I've been absolutely astonished at how often I keep coming back to this little guy, especially considering how dismal it was at launch. The games are really coming at a good pace now...it is hard for a guy with a WoW addiction to keep up.
Normally I'd agree with you 100%, I'm non fan of excessive litigation. The problem as I see it is that this seems to be an actual hardware defect...or at least a design defect. In any case it isn't something that would be fixable via a patch. A responsible company would recall defective hardware, which seems to be the main thrust of the lawsuit.
I love that the submitter's comments seems to imply that it is somehow more noble for consumers to take the responsibility for defective products on themselves, as opposed to holding the manufacturer accountable.
I like and respect Ebert's reviews and opinions, but with any movie that is based primarily on visuals you have to take his comments with a grain of salt. When a movie is visually stunning he tends to rate it high even when nothing else about the movie is good. Take for example his review of the terrible Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Notice that he also gave it 3 and a half stars.
I personally don't feel amazing visual effects trumps a poor acting/writing/directing job, although it's clear in many cases that Ebert does.
Yeah, I'm pretty much saying that fearmongering, warmongering, and war profiteering are not exactly moral. I'm also saying that enforcing your RELIGIOUS morals onto people who may or may not share those tenets of faith is kind of uncool. I'm saying that this world is filled with shades of gray and compassionate, moral people recognize and embrace those with differences, allowing those people to live their lives in whatever way makes them happy as long as they aren't hurting anyone.
If we legislate anything it should be based on science, not superstition, dogma, and a hatred for what's different.

Penny Arcade comic and Tycho's newspost reviewing the game.

Okay, I'll pick up my "loser badge" at the front desk.
Don't worry. You'll only be able to play for about half of a class hour before the battery dies.

To me, that's moral.
Congratulations to America on electing the morally bankrupt government it truly deserves!
