I was born and raised in Vegas and they have been talking about a high speed train since I was a kid......and nothing has ever or likely will wever happen on that!! No one wants to spend the money...

America is too damn dependent on cars to get around....we'll never see that here.

I wish everyday I could use trains to get to work and school...but I have to drive 80 miles a day to do that....that is truly ass.

Yeah...i'm sure they heard....to the deafening silence as ppl are just listening to the CD's they made at home of mp3 music, as well as the proliferation of CD changers.

Commercial radiois garbage. Too many commercials, ALL the time. Heck, I try to listen to sports talk radio here in SoCal and it is filled with commercials....3 minutes of sports talk, followed by 8 minutes of commercials. (BTW, the sports station is owned by CheapChan....errr....ClearChannel.)

It was Williams that layed the smackdown on teams with its active suspension/ride control systems in 92-93, and McLaren put everyone to shame in 88 with its MP4/4 Honda V6 twin turbo, winning 15 of 16.

But back then, it was fun to see those teams blow everyone up. Now with Ferrari, it ain't fun, because I think people are suspicious of ferrari and their rules "interpretation" and race fixing. I mean, lok at the barge board controversy back in 99 or 2000. Ferrari gets away with a CLEAR violation of the rules..any other team would have been DQ'd. And the race fixing......a penny ante fine for such a big company.

F1 is boring now because we all know that Schumacher will win, no matter who's in front of him. Back in the Williams/McLaren days....the teams ust let their drivers fight it out.

hell no....what a pretty picture a slow flying f-22 would present to an enemy pilot....nothing better than having a weaving fighter do the infamous Cobra" manuever and present a nice flat planform view for a nice gun or heater shot.

the f-22 seems to have the best capability of slow knife fight dogfights, high AOA flight regimes, and high speed slashing attacks. but who knows...that stuff is classified..

  7. Re:F-22 "avionics" on F-22 Avionics Require Inflight Reboot · · Score: 1

The F-022 is an aircraft that is inherently unstable, to allow the plane to turn tighter and quicker than planes that are inherently stable. That means the center of gravity is positioned to the rear of the center of pressure.

Come on...Project Gotham better than GT3? Get real.....GT is THE acknowledged king of driving simulations.

Xbox just doesn't have enough to distinguish it from a PC for buyers to be convinced. Like a previous poster said, without a "Mario" the Xflop is doomed.

Walk into any game store and you will have no problem getting an Xbox, while the stock of PS2 and Gamecube are noticeably lower.

Xbox will be MS's 21st century version of MS Bob.

  11. Re:Extending to the airport on Vegas: Monorails v. Gridlock · · Score: 1

I can tell you (I was born and raised in Vegas) that the monorial, as it is won't work at the airport. I used to be in the IS department at McCarran and I can tell you that the monorail has little chance of getting to the airport, because logistically, it won't make sense.

First, you have to trudge your baggage from Bag claim to the monorail station at the airport. if the station is going to be placed there it would be pretty far away from baggage claim, as the current design and fture expansion won't permit a monorail station to be placed near bag claim. So you get aboard, after carrying your bags about 300 yards, and arrive at the hotel, and most hotels don't have checkin in the rear of the building but the front, so you would have to carry your bags to the front which is another hike.

The current director at McCarran has already state this, and he isn't to hopeful of a monorail station there. BUt LV definitely needs to improve public transport, because traffic is ridiculous.

Stop that Anti American stuff. I just don't exist that much anymore.

I was in Japan for 2 years, and I had the most wonderufl time there. The people are incredibly nice, the service at stores and restaurants smacks down anything n the States, and wass is right, Japanese schoolkids do greet you very well (and yes, it is ture, you go to place where there aren't many foreigners, and kids and people will greet you like a celebrity)

Japanese are astute buyers: they will buy what is good and ignore what is crap. Apparently, American music, food, and fashion styles=good, most American cars=crap (which is true).

The same goes for Xbox. They don't see anything cool about it, so therefore they won't buy it. BUt PS2 and Nintedo's stuff sells, because they are cool and have cool stuff.

Go to many American stores and you will see that PS2 clearly dominates.
