    I Agree, The idea that nominating Bernie Sanders will give away the election is what's keeping us from getting the leader that we need. He just needs to go after the minority vote. His message, voting record and debate skills will get him into the white house *if* he gets the nomination.

    There is plenty of power to create laws to more specifically deny/manage such campaign contributions, but they want to just go for the throat and change the constitution.

    You' haven't been paying attention. Since the Citizens United ruling, such laws as you describe would violate the First Amendment. That's why getting money out of politics requires a new amendment.

    No but I'd be in favor of raising the age to legally drive and there are already penalties for driving without a license. If teens started planning mass vehicular homicides I might have to revise my thinking.

    I think a sensible requirement for gun ownership would be that you can't live with your parents and you can't have an adolescent child living with you where you keep a gun. Because teens are idiots. If you're paying rent then you're responsible enough to have a gun, otherwise tough luck.

    The fact is that when news like this hits, everybody goes to their default positions and defends it like they know what's going on. You imagine you know what was in that email and that lying about emails or a blow job is so much worse than lying about WMDs or outing spies to distract a news cycle. You pick your position and you stick with it forever because you can't help it. The reality is you're never going to know what was in an email that you're not supposed to see. It could be her grandmothers muffin recipe, you just don't know.
