    Last time I looked, they told me it was the limit of the swith : 256 ports.

    But I thought you could scale the switchs...
    using 256 / 512 / 1024 computer coud be possible with a 256 ports + fiber interconnect.

    So am I wrong assume you could pile up 2-3 256ports switchs, or is it possible ?

    They also were the firsts to come out with a WORKING 32 CPU. At the time where SMP for 2 proc in NT was considered as a Technical Mastercraft.

    They devellop hardened cpu for space exploration.

    I seem to remember Hubble is using *hum* 486 dx2-66 with cosmic ray shield for stability calculation...(those got replaced after they fixed the lens the first time, they got an upgrade to Pentium Pro, I think)

    Don't know about your Mindstorm CPU, but that should be twice its power...
    BTW If it can find its way in the Living Room, did you manage to get it to open the fridge yet ? 8)

    => So the solution would be to use directly DNA Analysis, or an automated Marker Machine, so as to check immediatly the DNA Strain and treat it with proper care.
    Could also be used to be sure that the medicine we told you to take are effective against your own specific flue strain (that from somebody wo never cached the mainstream disease and ended up with an inneficient generic treatment)

    Only problem is that automated DNA Analysers are WAY out of budget for 99.999 Hospitals.

    But a part of the future lies there...

    "It's a three-part chain involving rodents, fleas, and humans" => I never understood the need for fleas, before somebody told me abour food chain. Right now, I still don't find a need for Mosquitoes (bloody bastards 8| ).

    Take your Gas Engine.
    Lets say it's a 1 liter gas / hour.
    => to get 1500 hours, you need 1500 liters.

    Lets go easy and say Gasoline is same density and volume as water.

    YOU NEED 1.5m^3 of storage. For Gasoline. I know it doesn't bang as well as hydrogene, but 1.5 tons Gasoline could do something very smoky.

    Also, please consider the fuels efficiencies, see how much gasoline you need per hour to get 1200W and converse yourself in Gallons and other non linear mesure system (coming from the brits, no ? god, are they perverse 8)
