    I got a PII 350 / 256 Mo Ram.

    Can you tell me :

    1/ Why it cannot stay online for more than 2 days
    (because Network stack has a memory leak the size of Indiana and it eats up all my 256 Mo)

    2/ why, after a fresh start, I only have 160 Mo free ? (hmmm ! because...I start too much Dll ?)

    3/ Why, everytime I close an app, I have to use Memturbo (c) to free the memory it was occupying ?

    Ok This was my "Bad MEmory Windows"

    I propose we meet tomorow to speak about Inerface, and the day after on Filesystem ! 8)

    Usually it is mostly "Plug and Pray"

    BUT

    You buy a new DVD set wich can do on the fly VCR, frame grabs, DVD, MP3.

    You also are a White American with an IQ averaging 85.

    YOU DON'T WANT THE END USER TO MESS WITH THE SOFT !

    'cause most ot them are Morons when it comes to computers...AND it will boost your support costs if 1 out of 3 customers opens the box and fiddles!

    They know how to take it out of the pack (as in Beer 8) plug it to 2 devices (power AND tv) and then laborously decipher the doc...to start at "Push START") =>

    SOFT HAS TO BE BUNDLED TO ACHIEVE SALES
    SOFT HAS TO BE OPEN, so your 14'old will come and Bash into it 8)

    If the soft is free, it cannot be resold if under some specific licences...maybe here is the thing devs could do.

    Personnaly, It took me 2 weeks, some friends and a brand new Hair Set to get a BAD, FewOptions, No Fast Forward DVD hooked on TV with Linux / PII 350 / DVD Card / Creative Labs / TNT2 Ultra

    To be noted I am not that good in Linux. I prefer windows 3.11 8) (flamebait. Okay. But You know.... you used it too 8)

    Now I am W98 + Power DVD + Winamp. And you know what ? IT WORKS !!! With Cordless mouse / Kb 8)

    Which is all I ask. I can see ripped Divx, DVDs, VCD, MP3, CD + Internet Access...

    Of course stability of 98 rarely exceeds 5 days... But if I can't see it in 5 days, I probably never will

    Then OMS (http://www.linuxvideo.org/oms/) will someday work and I will happily load it and cry softly over all those losts Hairs.

    Information Wants To be Free !!! But first you have to be able to read it somewhere...

    5/ if nothing has been done, post the bug and then call the boss of the guy who didn't do a thing.

    Of couse, if they tell you "We're working on it", you can keep the bug for yourself and devellop your own first Large Scale Worm-virii and broadcast the direct phone number of the Guy to Every Single IIS in the World 8)

    your usual damascus is only a pattern added to the blade, remembering the original blade pattern.

    On Damascus Steel Blades, the pattern is a result of the inherent steel structure, and doesn't have to be added...

    Also, a good difference is the price, for an antique damascus will start at around $5000 8)

    Most of us (Sorry for presuming) had their first contact at the office, using 3.11 Workgroup (*Good Ol' Time* 8), them came home one day with their first PC and used...let's see... 3.11 ? because you had an handy copy on admins desk ? and already used it everyday ? no ? really ?

    Depending of your algorithm (repetion, fractal regression,...) you will get VERY DIFFERENT RESULTS using the same original file.

    + PI having no end in itself, can you please send me the method you think you will use before actually compressing pi, and which involve calculating pi to it's end ? 8)

    Well, I can agree.

    I really had my ass handed over me 200+ times in a Quake Arena. I decided to stop when I began thinking about my Katana and the nice things I could do to my computer. Then I had a glass with friends.

    It is to be noted that after 2 Vodka, 1 Beer and one of those Hilarating cigarets 8) I came back to the game, got fragged another 100 times, but didn't give a sh*t, cause the guy was better and I enjoyed playin Hide&Frag in a Quake Game 8)
