Describing the collection of anonymized data as spyware is dishonest and false for two reasons. First, it's anonymous so it can't be used to spy on anyone. Second, they are not hiding that they collect it; normally if you are spying on someone you don't tell them.
Aside from that it's just an overblow worry. People who have this concern typically have no problem using a smartphone or google products. They just use it as a flimsy prop for their anti-ms bias.
Then I think they're getting off easy being able to get the data back for $500. If the drive goes tits up it probably costs more than that and the data may be gone for good at any price.
The most popular game engine uses.Net so it's likely that most of the games on iOS and Android already use it. It's fun to read some of the/. reaction to this but they are doing some really cool things.
Consume desktop Linux is less popular than Windows Phones. It makes zero sense for a game studio to waste effort bringing the game to Linux. It would be better for them to spend that extra effort making the games better to begin with.
Even if we assume Scalia's views are correct, what you describe does not sound like a "properly functioning or working" militia. An unorganized mob with guns is not a militia.
It doesn't matter though. The whole notion that we can only read the constitution from the viewpoint of those that wrote it is just silly and thankfully it's a notion not likely to be carried by future supreme courts.
"A disarmed populace cannot form a functional militia."
It takes more than an armed populace to form a functional militia. We need to make sure people with guns know how to use them and are fit (mentally and physically) to defend the state. We also need to make a list of all the people with the guns so we know who to call up in our hour of need. None of which Scalia would agree with I think. He liked to apply his originalist views selectively.
"And also, why is always democrats trying to do an end-run around the democratic process?"
You're joking right? Remember all the gridlock the republicans caused because ObamaCare passed? They shut down the whole government with that tantrum.
The real problem is the lack of transparency with the no-fly list. If we fix that we're good right? Or are you just using this an excuse to back your agenda?
Not quite. There's clearly a regulatory angle too since they brought up the whole thing about "well regulated militias" first as context for the second part. So I think it's a safe bet that a future supreme court will see that it makes sense to keep a list of those in our militia.
When a usb drive is yanked out the driver gets a IRP_MN_SURPRISE_REMOVAL message. If it was busy writing stuff to the disk it says "Wait, I was using that!" and the OS displays a message to the user that they should have waited until the copy etc was done. If the user isn't an idiot and removes it when things aren't being written to it the driver says "Oh, that's all well and good. I wasn't doing anything anyway" to which the OS sends down the detatch message and the driver cleans up before going away.
It's not that hard. I have no idea why the people at Apple can't figure it out.
You haven't had to do that on Windows since SP1 of XP or maybe even earlier. Sure, you still can if you want to but you don't have to. The underlying architecture has handled surprise removal for a very long time. OSX needs to get with the times.
It's the best OS they've made yet for tablets, laptops, and desktops. There's lots of fud on here about why it's evil but there's really very few real reasons not to just get it as long as your hardware supports it.
Right there with you. I like the interface so much more than Android but the battery on my 1020 started not lasting very long. Picked up a 640 for now but it kind of sucks. At least now I understand how Mac people feel.
I think that's part of it. When women act competitive men often see them as bitchy. Society penalizes them for negotiating like men do so they have a harder time getting raises, promotions etc.
According to the Freakonomics guy you are partly correct but they found there's still about an 8% difference that can't be accounted for by anything but gender difference.

"Now we have C#, Go and Swift running on all of the major platforms."
I've read that there are ways to use Swift on Windows but it doesn't seem like a first class citizen.
Yeah, I guess if you are already wasting resources porting something to mac you might as well port it to Linux too.
I kid I kid. At least a little bit I kid.
Lol, so once you get it working 10% or so of the market they get the other 1.79% for free? Still a waste of time.

Straw man alert!
We do have reasonable press restrictions. The restrictions you propose are not at all reasonable.

Apple people never take their precious hardware apart. They have to bring it into a "genius" and hope they can help.
Sure they do. That's want 63 of the engineers are working on.
Just apply some burn cream to your ego and move on.
Does this mean she's willing to listen to people who are climate scientists? Probably not but if so that's progress on her part.
I think that's part of it. When women act competitive men often see them as bitchy. Society penalizes them for negotiating like men do so they have a harder time getting raises, promotions etc.
Really well put.
Just came in to make sure something like this was the top comment. Right then, carry on.

It does. Xamarin is pretty cool.
