      No kidding? You mean everyone used a default password for years, and didn't complain? Definitely a spin to take the heat off the company. The software should come with a big read warning sign, "Change the default password, and give each user a unique password!"

    Sure, but the point he claims is that TV2Me can get "live" quality video from anywhere. Whereas, Cringely stated in his article he couldn't get nearly that quality even on the same intranet.

    How would the legal aspect work out? Seems like you'd have to sign a fairly strict license saying the movie studio still owns what your computer rendered, copyright, etc.

    Very cool idea nonetheless.

    There's no reason to choke off Linksys. The reason for the purchase was to gain entry into the home market (i.e. less functional, less robust, but cheaper).
    I doubt Linksys will be crushed.

    Doubtful. The reason behind the purchase is to gain more market in the home network business, so there's really not much incentive to raise the prices.
