since these laptops don't run Windows I'm wondering if the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would also support something like this, as it would conflict with Bill's business interests.
Homer: Well, the night started at the gentlemen's club, where we were discussing Witzchenstein over a game of Backgammon. Scully: Homer, it's a felony to lie to the F.B.I. Homer: We were sitting in Barney's car eating packets of mustard, there ya happy?
I went to a presentation about a month ago from a student who had been working at this project at dartmouth.
He was talking about several projects, and he hesitated to talk about this one, because their
method of detection using wavelets(as described in the article) had just been
bypassed by a method that uses wavelets to hide the data...
The article doesn't mention any of this, but maybe this is the 10 percent they can't detect.
I tried installing my 486 with redhat7, and it
wouldn't even boot with 12Mb, luckily debian would.
I now have 16Mb but running X on it? I don't think so

winamp isn't dead yet, it just smells funny.
this reminds me of a famous Simpsons quote:
Homer: Well, the night started at the gentlemen's club, where we were discussing Witzchenstein over a game of Backgammon.
Scully: Homer, it's a felony to lie to the F.B.I.
Homer: We were sitting in Barney's car eating packets of mustard, there ya happy?

from the debian x86 installation manual: "You must have at least 12MB of memory"
so you can forget about 8Mb...
