Or, given a stable job and income you will die to show off your office buddies how you managed to qualify at code jam. They will just have to listen and wish they were as smart as you.
Ironically China was a mature society around 900 BC, being one of the world's earliest cultures. As a tourist, and if I had the means, I would rather be visiting Beijing and its surroundings than a medieval town that is probably similar to the rest of Europe.
Sounds like China is running out of ideas on how to spend their money.
Yes but, by highjacking a Microsoft certificate you are pretty much Fu$$ed since there is no detection UNLESS you update your root certificates. When was the last time we updated our root certificates without going through Windows update?
The real question is, for the amount of work and creativity invested in an Artist's work, how much should he/she be compensated for his/her creations??
Is it ok to make them millionares over night? Or maybe remain in equal footing like a doctor, lawyer, et. al.?
Is it reasonable to think the work, team effort and resources used for making a movie be compensated LESS than the creation for a song?
I will definitely pay to see an exhibition of "recovered" lunar equipment. If we did it for the Titanic this should be done with no moral or legal repercussions.
+1 I totally agree, I stopped using HP 5 years ago after suffering with crappy products and zero support. If you are R&D company it should take you no effort to develop on successful platforms like Palm, instead they just killed it.
Mod Parent up. People don't understand where a monetary coin gets its value. The enforcement and reprisals from the US government is what keeps the dollar afloat. When Asian countries where considering trading oil in euros put the US in considerable panic.
Why wouldn't that argument apply to C#? Microsoft is known to milk their licensees when it has them in a corner. And Microsoft is definitely not suing-shy. Mono project is always dependent on what Microsoft feels of breaking their promises or not.
I am a misogynist macho sob and I still think this was a coward thing to do... nothing real men do I'm sure heaven is not open to assholes who are afraid of women

Really? I have another lunar golf ball I can sell to you. Act quick before I open the bidding to the public.
Question: What height does the fence surrounding a lunar lander has to be so a properly suited human doesn't go over it in one jump?
That would be hilarious, more reason to go and bring it back!
In a couple millennia humans will be extinct by their own "progress".
I will definitely pay to see an exhibition of "recovered" lunar equipment.

Whenever I have to go back to PHP I make sure to read the documentation (http://php.net) AND all of the comments.

Mono project is always dependent on what Microsoft feels of breaking their promises or not.
The real discussion will be why use Oracle databases to begin with.
So Facebook, Yahoo, et.al. using PHP must be insanity.
IF that happens then Mono will be claimed as Microsoft's property or be sued for license fees.
What no Groovy? Oh well, I should follow the masses mindlessly without considering the right tool for the job.

Many techniques and advances were developed by mainframes decades ago we just have a hard time accepting it.
