    Ironically China was a mature society around 900 BC, being one of the world's earliest cultures. As a tourist, and if I had the means, I would rather be visiting Beijing and its surroundings than a medieval town that is probably similar to the rest of Europe.

    Sounds like China is running out of ideas on how to spend their money.

    Yes but, by highjacking a Microsoft certificate you are pretty much Fu$$ed since there is no detection UNLESS you update your root certificates.
    When was the last time we updated our root certificates without going through Windows update?

    The real question is, for the amount of work and creativity invested in an Artist's work, how much should he/she be compensated for his/her creations??

    Is it ok to make them millionares over night? Or maybe remain in equal footing like a doctor, lawyer, et. al.?

    Is it reasonable to think the work, team effort and resources used for making a movie be compensated LESS than the creation for a song?

    I will definitely pay to see an exhibition of "recovered" lunar equipment.
    If we did it for the Titanic this should be done with no moral or legal repercussions.

    I totally agree, I stopped using HP 5 years ago after suffering with crappy products and zero support.
    If you are R&D company it should take you no effort to develop on successful platforms like Palm, instead they just killed it.

    The enforcement and reprisals from the US government is what keeps the dollar afloat.

    Why wouldn't that argument apply to C#? Microsoft is known to milk their licensees when it has them in a corner. And Microsoft is definitely not suing-shy.
    Mono project is always dependent on what Microsoft feels of breaking their promises or not.
