    Look at the Dells. Dell sells widescreen LCDs also...

    Before considering the Dell 2405FPW (24" 1920x1200), do a search for '2405FPW and high pitched squeal'. I bought one for $799 and after it warms up it emits a loud, high pitched squeal. This is a common problem for this model (which I returned).

    But your response seems typical. If someone says science should not be replaced with religious dogma in schools or that it is not the job of the government to enforce a particular religious view, then it's "They are trying to destroy religion.

    Maybe you were right, you just might be a fanatic.

    Tango is also the name of the ugliest excuse for a web development platform on this green earth.

    Tango is also the name of a defunct night club in Dallas, Texas. It had a collection of giant, brightly colored frog sculptures posed dancing near its entrance. After its demise, some of the frogs were moved to the roof of 'Carl's Truck Stop' along I-35 between Dallas and Waco. (I'm not making this up.)

    The point?
    Don't get too worked up about naming coincidence, and focus on the project.
    Which sounds a little like Eazel, but what the hell.

    I got one of those rubber skins for my 4G and it works great.

    Even though I really want to make a condom joke,
    I'll ask a serious question instead:
    Why doesn't Apple just include a 20 cent cover with the iPod.
    If you wan't to view the shiny cover, take it out at your own risk.
    It seems a cheap way of avoiding liability.

    remember the superconducting super-collider we (the US) were going to have?

    Worst part of that was that over half of the cost was already spent.
    *Then* they kill it.
    IIRC some of the tunnels were used for mushroom farming.

    Seems the ISS is getting the same treatment. Spend most of the money, but starve it enough to accomplish nothing.

    BS and MS degrees are meant to lean more towards the vocational side, whereas a Ph. D is all about the scientific/research

    BS is an excuse to make bad decisions about partying and sex.
    MS is for recovering some dignity and respectability.
    PhD is for copping a gravy teaching position.

    I hear a lot of shocked complaining about the requirements, but I suspect many here would secretly delight at something nifty and new that really stressed a chunky new machine. So much so you may even rationalize how great some feature is.

    Like playing the latest FP shooter that looks astounding only on a $500 video card.
    "Oh, yeah. You can't do that unless you have a studly rig like mine." (smirk)

    Plus, I bet the utility of virtualization with VMWare or the likes makes multi GB RAM machines common in the near future anyways. That way all the Vista users can enjoy a penguin in the box surrounded by fluffy eye candy. :-)
