That letter was written and signed by Tea Party Republicans in the House misrepresenting the ATT as a UN conspiracy to disarm Americans when it only calls for a national system of munition export controls to prevent them from being used in war crimes.
You just provided an example of the kooky conspiracy theories I was talking about.
I'm reposting the AC comment above for visibility.
I like the fact I was able to walk into my local gun store and walk out with my Glock 19 and XD45 a half hour later. I like the fact that I can buy cases (1000 rounds) of ammunition online. I still think some of what comes out of the NRA is pretty kooky and I see no "liberal" or UN conspiracy to take any of that from me.
This is the real kicker. The transition to inexpensive and capable boxes like Roku is only starting, but now that I've had a taste for the convenience and interesting programming I can get on Roku but not from cable/sat, it is clear to me we are close to a rapid transition. Large content companies will see niche players making money on streaming and recognize they can make more without the cable/sat middle men.
RIM type companies that ignore this shift will be swept away.
Free as in payed for with taxes. "Read a book" glosses over the reality that some people just prefer video entertainment, which is what the article is about.
Here is an EE Times article on the same subject. The article and commenters agree people using mass transit (mostly outside the US) want to minimize carried weight and prefer a single device with a large screen instead of two devices (pad and phone). If you are already carrying a day pack, the size is less of a problem than weight from two batteries.
When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a data center on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what you're going to get, lad, the greenest data center in all of North Carolina!
Three games that blew me away that are non-fiction and novel are Flower, Limbo and Journey. All three are more imagination, dream and a reflection of life.
