However, since this has become a source of concern to our users, and it is Belkin policy to address the concerns of our users quickly, Belkin has decided to remove this function from the routers. Each router's firmware that incorporates parental control as an option will be changed.

    Every single channel had the same Amber Alert. For a full minute.

    Ok, give someone a voucher - the person holding the voucher quite likely already has a Windows machine at home, and maybe needs that new "Student & Teacher Edition" of Microsoft Office.

    Chances are, people are going to blow the vouchers on more Microsoft software. Even then, the vouchers aren't *that* much - the average Joe probably doesn't have his proof of purchase for old software anyway. A business might, and they could use the $$ they get back to fund their Windows XP upgrade.

    Sorry, but I highly doubt that any company is going to say "Yay! Now we can switch to Linux!" - they're just going to add it to the existing IT budget & buy more MS stuff.

    People are *sick of the CRAP* on the internet. They're sick of the fact that the WWW is becoming a junk ridden flea market.
    They're sick of banner ads that go FLASH!FLASH!FLASH! at them and they're sick of misleading "System Error" messages that turn out to be banner ads.

    Quite obviously *someone* wants the features that NAV2004 has. Symantec didn't just put stuff in the application because some programmers had a bunch of free time.

    Google adwords is also *not* a big FLASHING banner ad, either.

    So, what happens when the virus writer turns out to be from somewhere in Eastern Europe? What good is this going to do?
    Remember the guy that tweaked Blaster and re-released it? He was scapegoated..

    Also, it says that the reward will be paid if *there's a conviction* - that's a "Get out of jail free" card for them. The person actually has to be convicted. It could take a few years for you to get the reward, if you get it at all.

    Nice idea, in a few ways.. but writing software that doesn't suck is probably a better idea. ;P

    That's it? 37 months in prison for her cohort.
    Yet the RIAA is trying to hit people for $150,000... and Ashcroft wants "hackers" sentenced as terrorists and put in jail for LIFE.

    Want to stop identity theft? Jack up the jail term..big time. 3yrs in jail for stealing a ton of credit card numbers is pretty weak.

    Oh yeah. I reformatted & reinstalled on an identical box. 10.2.6 worked great.
    10.2.8 introduced random USB power errors, hard freezes, intermittant ethernet, and a few other odd quirks.

    Back to 10.2.6, stable once again.

    I'm just going to stick to 10.2.6. I don't need anything that 10.2.8 provided anyway - except the security fixes. heh.

    Who said that it had 3rd party add-ons? It's an Apple 366mhz ZIF processor. An Apple part. That's the only thing that I've added.
    10.2 *is* supported on the beige G3s. However, they're *not* releasing security updates for 10.2, except in the package called "10.2.8"

    I want them to release the updates individually. That really isn't too much to ask. 10.2.8 caused a LOT of problems.
    It has nothing to do with my particular configuration - it's the stock OS I'm worried about.

    Apple rolled several security updates into that thing called 10.2.8, which has caused many people no end to troubles, especially those with older hardware.

    Yes, I have a beige G3. Yes, I've put a much faster ZIF processor in it. It's a small OS X Server. 10.2.8 screwed up all *kinds* of things.

    Can Apple please release the security updates individually so we can apply them as needed instead of bundling them into a dot-whatever release?
    That's all I ask, Apple. I'll buy a shiny new G4 (or G5) when I can actually afford it. (No, they're not too expensive, I'm just flat broke. :P)

    Actually, JC Penny & Wal-Mart forbid you from taking photos inside the stores. So does Fry's. Fry's even says that you can'd *sketch* the inside of the store at all.

    Look for the small print before entering a store.. it's interesting sometimes. :)

    Give NASA some money for the 5 dozen other projects that it's working on. Not all of them have to do with space, that's for sure.

    NASA does a LOT of stuff that directly affects us here on Earth.

    Ringtones are another thing... Google for some ringtones, and you'll find no less than 35 different results that all wind up back at - www.ringingphone.com - Now if that ain't GoogleSpammage, I don't know what is.

    I never did find what I was looking for because I gave up after wading through multiple pages of absolute crap.

    The web has become nothing more than an oversaturated commercial wasteland. It sucks.
