  2. Internet; the only connectivity that matters to me on Cord-Cutting Still Doesn't Beat the Cable Bundle (wired.com) · · Score: 1

Internet connectivity is the only thing I care to pay for. I have no problem for the news (such as the CBC, Microsoft and proprietary formats excluded) being paid for with tax dollars. Like paved roads, certain things are good for the whole of society.

Ideally one would pay a relatively fixed, close to lowest possible price, for pure non-corrupted internet connectivity. Geeks would hook up their IP phones at will and the free market would just make it easy to do the same. Crave-TV, Netflix and the likes of them can take care of the rest.

IMHO, ISPs would be better off easing into that model rather than fight it. Unfortunately, all they have demonstrated so far is to think short term and squeeze as much of their customers as if they were cattle.

I have no idea why you would think that I can just guess which video you are referring to. It also doesn't have to be fake to start showing it wherever most convenient. Did you miss the video where somebody didn't just get punched, but died? Does that not register in your reality?

The goal of white supremacists is to start a race war. They are trying their best to get punched in the face so that people like you can go "They punched Nazis! They punched Nazis!". This is their motivation for instigating violence, a word you used first but don't seem to understand.

Finally, "Nazis suck" is the one of the worse understatements ever.

  18. You claim that nobody quite cries for bans on loud music, but to a lesser degree, there has been a campaign to educate people about it, and people who do not appreciate loud music will occasionally voice their opinions to the patron or a waiter of an establishment, especially if it is in closed walls.

Further, the analogy is quite week as hearing loss is not a life threatening condition. If you went to a club or a concert, I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate other people independently blasting their own music, turning the place a cacophony and ruining the purpose of your entry fee.

In the same manner, I believe that your argument is simply one of selfish convenience and less of stupidity. You think that other people should stay home so you can have a smoke whenever and wherever you want. I believe your right stop when you start infringing the rights of others, and unless you can inhale without exhaling you should keep your poison to your own environment.
