Do you know anyone who has Internet only for Netflix? Because that's like saying having a computer costs hundreds or thousands of dollars per month because you include the price of your rent/mortgage.
I think it's far more logical to assume that Timothy's the only one left and that he hasn't slept for the last few days. Because before the new overlords, there wasn't any typos or mistakes.
This kind of thing happens all the time [...] It will eventually get resolved, but it could take anywhere from a few months to a year or two. [...] I'm sure Sweden will be exactly the same.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. I've heard the Swedish Chef was in charge of the negotiations, so it could take a while.
You're stating what's obvious to nerds and people who are aware of alternatives, but for the rest of the world, things like Netflix are just words they hear a few times per year.
So yes, the more the old telecom powers lose their grips on their markets by asking for more money instead of less, the more alternatives are getting known by necessity.
That's one thing that's bugging me with all these wireless charging ideas. I don't care which company makes it, wasting energy for the sake of not having to connect a wire is the perfect example of "First world problem".
Engineers: Hey everyone, we figured out a way to save 5% of our energy! Tech companies: Great, because all our new devices waste over 50% of the energy they use every day!
The one area where other companies just cannot compete with Apple is with the seamless transition between devices. All my hardware is too old so I've never tried it, but I just read that Microsoft ditched their Windows Phone and I don't know anyone who both runs Chrome OS on his computer and has an Android phone.
The other place where companies are trying anything to see what sticks to the wall is that IoT craze, which I don't want anything to do with.
I use Apple's Messages program to talk to friends on Mac/iPad/iPhone and also on other friends who use Google Talk on other platforms.
Isn't it weird that Apple supports more IM platforms than Microsoft and Google?
Don't buy any devices.
Trust no one.
In typical Microsoft style, I bet the main OS running the VMs is Windows.
Still funny that Microsoft doesn't even use their own OS for their services.
I see what you did there.

The solution is obvious: we need more middlemen.
Maybe we should send Mr. Spock to these negotiations.
Yes, I know... RIP, Mr. Nimoy.

Urge to kill... rising...
Well, do you know my grandfather? How do you know he's breathing?
Here's a hint, genius: he doesn't breathe because he's dead, you insensitive clod!
When the servers crash and display a blue screen it's not so evident anymore.
One billionth of a meter = 1 nanometer = 0.000001mm
And how does it "seem pretty efficient" to you? Do you know exactly how much less power it would require without the wireless part?
Well, Tesla's dead. That's all the proof I need.

Only DVI-A and DVI-I ports are compatible with VGA via an adapter. You'll never connect anything VGA to a DVI-D port.
Hercules?
Not small enough for the Raspberry Pi Zero, which uses a mini-HDMI port.
There are many copies, and they have a plan.
What's a "Shmoocon" anyway?
Anyone else read that as "Jailbreak Turns Cheap Walkie-Talkie Into DRM Police Scanner"?
