    Anyway, compare that to the stresses imposed by society on humans. Alarm clocks, driving to work, job stress and anxiety, family matters, bills to pay, house and mortgage, etc. It's different but since we have a longer lifespan I'd say we have it worst than the mice.

    Also, since this is Slashdot, I'll add that at least those mice were allowed to have sex.

    1. There is HDMI monitors without speakers.
    2. Are DVI and DisplayPort patented with royalties?
    3. As far as I know DVI and Displayport don't have HDCP, so no royalties and compliance costs either.

    The goal of these things isn't to make minimum wage, it's to be able to get free fractions of bitcoins in the hopes that it ever gets much higher than it is right now. It did get from 14 cents up to 1200 dollars once, so we never know what might happen in the future.

    Be serious. If you still have a VGA-only monitor, it's time to replace it. And a DVI-D to HDMI adapter is simple enough to be worth only a few dollars.
