    They are? I don't think that Republicans suggest that an entire race abort their babies out of existence, and thus they themselves out of existence, ilke the Democrats do. Racists? I see no more or less evidence of racism among Democrats than Republicans. Fascists? It was FDR who basically declared war on small business, because a few big organizations were easier to cajole. Get your facts straight. The Republican Party is forked up but no more so than the Democrat party.

    In theory this seems like a great idea -and perhaps for some it would be - but I bet more often than not an older person would be pressured to go for euthanasia by greedy heirs so they don't use all "the heirs'" money in a final illness. (Hint, it isn't their money!)

    On the other hand if you stop diseases that strike the elderly, like dementia, a lot is learned about diseases that afflict the young. A huge number of diseases in first world countries are lifestyle based.

    Well, at least he isn't smuggling guns to Mexico, like the Obama admin, or trying to convince people benghazi happened because of a youtube video (Obama again), or somehow convince people that non binding carbon emissions + payoff to the third world in the trillions was going to help the climate (guess who again), or somehow that allowing Iran to build a nuclear bomb was going to stabilize the middle east (guess who) ..

    If you haven't figured out that all politicians are very similar and horrible people, I'm sorry for you. Sheesh. There was more abuse against civil rights in this country during Obama admin than during Trump - and Bush and Clinton were equally bad.

    Exactly. I had my first iPad (an iPad 2 I got on launch day) for over five years. It still works. The new one is much faster and nicer - but still similar. Much easier to use than the tiny screen on a phone.

    "Romneycare" was implemented in Massachusetts, by an R gov, but "D" everything else. It would not have existed without the Democrats wanting it. Period. Sorry, you're wrong.

    Mostly because people see what they have as better than what they did. Too bad that folks who make more than 400% of the poverty line (about 30K for an individual, at $15/hour that's not difficult) end up paying 1K/month in premiums, eh? Sucks to be them!

    Yes, I absolutely do not understand how a society that: 1. Had huge amounts of individual freedom. 2. Had an incredibly small government. 3. Had a totally all volunteer armed forces where you could resign when you were almost in combat. 4. Had very few laws, rules, regulations about personal behavior - except in cases where you committed mayhem on someone else. 5. Was incredibly laissez faire in business. 6. Had you sit down and figure out "Why do we do this?" Could be considered fascist, except by a person who hates freedom and wants to see it stamped out everywhere. But we are talking about Hollywood, and leftists, so this is unfortunately true - certainly for Hollywood and in way too many instances for leftists. The right is about 60% as bad as the left but they can't hold a candle to them for insanity.

    Ah it must have replied to you - when I was trying to reply to someone else who said 'The REpublicans opposed desegration' - when it was the Democrats. Just speaking out against revisionist history. (I was using the tablet interface to this website which is even worse than the desktop one when I replied)

    Interesting as Iâ(TM)m a conservative and: 1. Think sexual orientation is a personal matter and shouldnâ(TM)t be discriminated against. This includes other things not really orientation but also transgender stuff. 2. Think racism is just wrong as people are individuals not to be judged by the color of their skin. 3. Think discrimination by gender is silly; as I explained to a tiresome sjw coworker years ago, if I had a Thatcher to vote for Iâ(TM)d love s female head of government. Itâ(TM)s unfortunate that the left, who think themselves a bastion of tolerance is really quite thuggish, and so many who describe themselves as conservative are merely as rigid as lefties.

That's tyranny. Certainly my freedom ends where yours begins - I shouldn't be able to impinge on your property, for example, with trash in my yard. But the fact that I choose to build (say) a greenhouse doesn't affect you.

    If you're discussing, say 'freedom from being murdered' I agree with you. But for many , in 21st century USA and other western democracies, 'freedom from' is morphing to mean 'Anything I disagree with nobody should be allowed to do.' Don't like guns? Don't own one. Don't like drugs - and I truly despise them but - don't take them. Etc.
