    Pretyy much very interpreted language for decades does this. Additionally, back in the 60s people were writing programs to do exactly this to try to enable run-time decompiling/recompiling of binaries from other systems. Nothing much new under the "Sun" here ...

    Refining it? You mean making it incompatible with Debian or any other distros. They contribute almost NOTHING upstream. If they disappeared tomorrow, NOTHING would be affected.

    Ubuntu isn't bringing "fresh meat" to the table - these people would have discovered a real linux distro if it weren't for the n00bs who hit on Ubuntu and thought "OMG this is os KEWL!" and then went all fanboi on it. Their server offering is a piece of sh*t.

    Not just small claims - you don't here claims by the gubbiment for $72k that they didn't have coming to them in small claims court. About the ONLY court I haven't been involved with is the Court of Appeals (why would I appeal when I win, and why would the other side appeal when the judge smacks them down hard for being stupid? - the only exception being a former landlord, who is going to get smacked down AGAIN in another month :-)

    It's in need of a lot more than that:
    1. a proper art director - it's still #1 fugly
    2. a mission - every week, it wants to be something else
    3. a clue - people value their privacy - ask nicely and you'll probably get what you want - just take it and people will not trust you.

    Of course, Shuttleworth is going to call all of us criticizing this latest stupidity from quite possibly one of the weakest distros in the world in terms of contributions back to linux as being "tribal."Ubuntu is dying.

    I suspect that there's more to it from Discovery's side ... which is why I would say "see you in court, and in the meantime I want to do a bit of discovery on you - hand over all internal analysis, communications, and business plans relating to what you might do with the site afterwards" - because money is the motivator for these SOBs.

    Better to refuse to hand it over, and replace the main page with "Discovery sucks, discover WHY!!!" Protest sites are 100% legit constitutionally protected free speech. Let them suck on that for a while, then maybe offer an apology.

    And contrary to popular belief, you don't need a lawyer to be successful at it (remember, I've sued the government - and won).

    This is just another case of "lawyers don't know their job" - the majority of lawyers are incompetent. Law school doesn't even teach them how to handle a court case (read any big-name lawyer's bio and they'll tell you as much).

    Find a similar motion on the net, admit you own the aforenamed website and deny every other claim. Then the ball is in their court. They can do NOTHING without your cooperation. They will lose the domain name resolution process because you can show that the past history - otherwise they'd have used it

    And they'll lose in court. And have to pay.

    Let them sue. You'll enjoy making (greater) fools of them.

    Yes, it's disappointing (to say the least) that RIM is enabling other countries to do what is illegal in Canada - such as making sure women don't date.

    All that's going to happen is that people will find other ways, same as they have always done. The Saudi leadership wants this because they are very unpopular - world-wide, not just at home.

    We don't need a universal language - language shapes thoughts , so the more languages, the more diverse the thoughts and ideas that we as humans will have.

    For matting can certainly be part of the language - it's symbols, same as "for" or "if" or "()" or ";".

    Human languages make formatting part of the language, and they aren't broken.

    Two spaces after a period that ends a sentence.

    Otherwise, Dr. Ms. Mrs. Mme. Mr. Mlle. etc. eng. fr. and all those other abbreviations look like they end a sentence.

    Tab, of course, is ASCII 9, not "n * 0x20", where n==some value between 1 and whatever. Look at python code, where leading white space counts - mixing tabs with spaces is dumb.

    I have a lock screen, so if someone gets their hands on my phone they can't access my data, and after 10 incorrect password attempts, the phone wipes itself.

    Sounds like a nice way for someone to do a DoS on you. Just get physical access to your phone for a minute, do 10 password guesses (all 1-2-3-4-5) and you've lost everything.
