    there are lots of sites that sell white card blanks and the kit to
    put data on them.

    RIP Ricardo and Herve Villechaize, of course.

    Give Shatner a break, he is a good guy with a career that spanned decades. You can't say that
    he didn't work for it. He has stayed in the game, and will always be remembered as Captain Kirk,
    a mf intergalactic sex god and legend.

    Besides help with using the software, usually enterprise support would include rapid patches for bugs, and custom feature requests. Those are not available on mailing lists.

    Yes, the new nerdspeak is as terrible as the old k-kool type k-krap that all the bbs d00dz typed.
    If you read digg comments, there are about a million epic fail and epic win comments, such that
    I want to digg my eyes out with spoons from having seen them too many times. Even worse,
    there seems to be a recent embracing by the nerd youth of a hive mind sort of mobspeak,
    egging each other on with moar and epic this epic that. I have been happy that it hasn't caught on
    too much in slashdot comments. It is the same as any sort of spectatorship, standing on the side,
    never getting involved, but happy and eager to pipe in and cheer or boo with the crowd.

    Sort of off topic but keep your foreign memes off of slashdot or we will mod them down,
    just like we always have. Right? Now get off of my lawn.

    George Steinbrenner made me Surrender my Mind, in which
    he says that he committed wire fraud with Steinbrenner's sons, and used the proceeds to finance A-Rod's contract purchase,
    and:
    Steinbrenner loves him, and calles him cake boy, sweet cheeks, and Jonny Choo Choo,
    made him eat a banana in front of the 1998 Yankees, and I quote the rest:
    "In a letter shaped as a heart, Steinbrenner wants me to replace Derick jeter at shortstop when I come home"
    "Steinbrenner wrote me and wants me to be his fabio and eat "I can't believe its not Butter" without a knife in front of him."

    and chippendales dance in the Yankees lockerroom before each game."

    I haven't even gotten to the lawsuit against Isaah Thomas yet, but there is clearly a grudge against New York sports teams.

    Let's see. A device with no purpose other than to be malicious.

    It just turns off a tv, it doesn't break it.
    I think that the bgone appeals to the mischevious part of our nature. Certainly shutting
    down a video wall during someone's presentation IS malicious (I remember
    a youtube of someone doing this not too long ago), but there are plenty
    of instances that you could use this device that would not be.

    OTOH this is a great example of hacker thinking, doing things with
    a technology that were not intended.

    To be realistic, often these things wind up in the hands of obnoxious assholes,
    which is half of all males between 12 and 30.

    I read that classic and angry post, then the OP's posting history. This guy is railing
    and even admits in a separate thread that he is not voting. Classic indeed.

    Back in the 80's when I spent too much time on USENET, I would get
    great pleasure from reading the threads that began as "discussions"
    and devolved into all out flame wars. It was like watching a slow motion
    train wreck.
