Are you serious? Maybe my sarcasm detectors are broken. At least I hope they are. I think I saw that cartoon on Nick at Nite maybe fifteen years ago. And it was... not... good.
Obviously they took the wrong path. Grab the fire flower, jump over the drawbridge and dodge the two fireballs, hit the two Goombas, and go down the first pipe, don't go around it. If you miss the pipe and go up the shaft you just hit a dead end and you pretty much won't have time to go back.
"Out of 10.3 million records, they pulled out 17 of these that have inaccurate data on it," said VeriSign spokesman Brian O'Shaughnessy. "That doesn't diminish the fact that VeriSign sees this as an important issue, but 17 names out of 10.3 million would hardly be considered a pattern."
I'm sorry, but my rebuttal is: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"
Only Seventeen?! I'd wager 15% of the domains on there are pointed to the phone number 123-456-7890 at the address of 123 Main Street. I'd call that the beginning of a pattern. Buncha jerks.
Agreed - one of the options on my Inspiron 8100 is to go from 32megs of video RAM on my GeForce2Go to 64megs of video RAM. A further option which I can still buy is the Mobile Radeon 7500 with 64 megs of RAM.
Not exactly rocket science when you can buy it direct from Dell.
Where exactly is the seperation here - Linux needs to be sold to the masses, the non-computer users, yet 'stupid people' need charged out the ass to get it to work like they want? Are your comments indicative of the Linux community? If so, welcome to obscurity, Linux.
WAL*MART CONSUMERS. Many of which who have ne'er owned a PC before. Your example above would be askng too much for gramma to type in so she can save her recipies she typed in.
And asking tech support to create the script to save those files on a seperate partition is asking too much as well - what if someone saves their files someplace else, reformats their PC with the rescue disk, and *SURPRISE* it didn't copy the files you saved becuse they weren't where the rescue disk expected to see them!
Is this one of those cases where we get a form letter that says we are part of the multi-party class action lawsuit... JUST SIGN HERE!
I've been involved in only one of those, and I got a nice, shiny five dollar check for my efforts. The class action suit I was involved in invloved a company hiking finance charges. I was overcharged financing on an item to the tune of $150. $5 is less than $150.
So, are these lawsuits meant as compensation to the consumer, a conduit for a lawyer's SUV fund, or as punishment to the defendant?
But isn't that what E3 is about? This isn't game of the year, this is Game of E3 - a technology exhibit and exposition that shows off the new entertainment tech. There are major awards these games can win based on the finished product, but E3 is about what is on the horizon.
After all, Xbox won best hardware of 2000.
And before everyone goes off saying Doom III wasn't playable, it was playable behind closed doors. Or at least playable by John Carmack.
Steel Batallions is not for everyone - f'rinstance.. how much is it gonna COST? No one knows, and ain't no one talking. As far as I've heard the game will only be sold with the massive controller offering no way for people with the standard controller to play it. It better cost below $100 for it to be even a moderate success.
I still praise Capcom for bringing a niche game to the US. Reminds me of the Sega Saturn Virtual On! game with the TwinSticks, or the DDR dance pads. Take a chance, developers.
I'd like to be able to watch the game on my Xbox, too - let's say there's a doubles tennis match playing online with four people - I'd like to sit in the stands and watch the game while waiting on another game to open.
The potential of this make my skin pale in anticipation.
As long as Sega and Microsoft are in bed, I wouldn't worry about sports titles for the Xbox. There were no less than four football titles for the Xbox last year.
We haven't heard what content Microsoft is going to put out such as an Asheron's Call type game, perhaps a Bungie title like Halo2. NFL Fever is really the only MS-specific title I know of. Perhaps E3 will answer this question further.
Since Microsoft hasn't 'officially' announced their online plans, look for some exclusive titles announced at the same time.
That's fine by me - EA's practices are about as bad as Microsft's anyway, and Sega's sports games (the only games I'd play online on the Xbox anyway) absolutely KILL EA's sports series.

He tried to punch a baby, but now he's gotta punch a baby... in jail.
He was speeding while tying his shoes, but now he has to tie his shoes... in jail.
Well, maybe not the shoe-tying part.
Honestly, I would have paid the extra two or three bucks for a rechargable model. Ah, well. We're getting closer, at least!
Stephen King is dead post
goatse.cx post
'Windows Apologist' post
'Who cares about anime?' post
And, more importantly, 'Man, Slashdot just ruined the Lone Rangers season finale!' day.
So does Molson.
Erm. Wait.
Completely agreed - now will they have a second chance to correct this, or will this first batch of PC's be the last batch?

Or they could go to Start - Help and then type 'monitor'. That way they can learn where it is.

Maybe he's gotten to the point in his career where he wants to send a message with his movies. Not that I'm asking for Flintstones III any time soon.

I can't understand exactly how - they've used the same code base for their sports titles for the last 8 years.
Besides.. there's always Acklame's sports series. *shudder*

No big loss.
If I have to explain it...
God, please SOMEBODY get this.
