    While there might be some useful aspects to veganism wrt losing weight in a society with the ahistorical problem of too much food, generally it's just one of the latest in a fad of things where you feel you've latched onto some truth of the universe...and you're so sure you're right you feel justified shoving it down other people's throats. With the force of law if you can swing it.

    So it is politics. It is religion. They are the same phenomenon.

    He is correct -- the left and the right fight over power, and what to do with it. But they both operate under the principle almost unlimited power is good...as long as our side wields it for things we lioe.

    Precious few stand up anymore and say the existence of that much power, as a prize no less, is the wrong thing in itself. This was the attitude of the founding fathers, and of modern libertarians, which your meme masters have programmed you to think of as childlike...in the service of getting you to behave in a manner that spreads that power-is-right meme.

    Removing the convenience of corporations (limited liability, other laws) may or may not affect their size. It won't affect their speech, which would continue. People using the money of businesses they own to affect laws which affect them.

    Corporations are constituted by people, who do not give up free speech rights when they enggage in busiiness. Congress has no authority to do so because of the first amendment. Congress may not create groups of people then require them to give up free speech as a cost of entry into the group.

    As for your example from this week, Congress' ability to force companies to say things is heavily oriented around preventing deception and fraud.

    Jamming one's political opinion out the mouth of a corporation is similarly not allowed.

    Well, I've been warning against any mitigation of gw -- moving inland slowly over 100-300 years is a minor hassle (buildings get old anyway).

    But accidentally overshooting and inducing an ice age (which can start in as little as 1-2 years) will actually and rapidly kill billions.

    Why do you think people go into power to begin with? To get legal bribes AKA political donations if nothing else. Otherwise they have tens of thousands of ways "your stuff might get broke, ya know?"

    This simple theory has much more explanatory and predictive power than the "I wanna serve The People", especially when you look at corruption around the world.

    Let's simplify the tax code, getting rid of thousands of loopholes...so we can hand them out all over again. This happens every 30 years or so.
