They could at least support the resolution, and just stick it in the middle of the screen. I think most widescreen gamers would be happy just to not have the 4:3 image streched to 16:9 or 16:10. The problem is not so much that it's not widescreen, just that its all distorted.
The BETA isn't supported by Apple. When Leopard is released though, and "Boot Camp" (or whatever they decide to call the final product) is integrated into the OS, and trumpeted as a feature, they're going to start supporting it. Probably not to the extent of helping users remove spyware, etc (Does Microsoft even provide that kind of support?), but enough to help users get Windows up and running on their Mac.
Personally, I hope it turns out that Windows really does become the new Classic, as many pundits have said. Imagine being able to launch those 2 or 3 Windows apps you can't live without from within MacOS X - THAT would be something to talk about. John Gruber has some intriguing thoughts on that possibility.
If you've bought the game, you already have a way to use it legitimately. Refusing to use that way and supporting pirates by using the cracked version of the game is still illegal.
Supporting the pirates? What is this, some kind of international cartel that profits from your downloading and installing a 34kb file to play the game you purchased without the CD? I bet they all wear pirate hats too, and peddle crack to one-legged children. It's the downfall of society!
The real solution is obviously to go back to school and become a graphics artist. That way, even if your boss isn't into farm animals, you can make it look as though he is..
Can't I buy a car from the dude with spiky blue hair and the bolt through his nose? I think he'd better be able to tell me what kind of car would suit MY needs than the two women in your example.
Long hair is fine, but at least wash it every other day.
Every OTHER day? Please be more courteous than that.
Both when I had hair down to my ass, and when I'd shaved it clean off, I washed it every day (except those days when I'm lazing around the house, maybe). Hell, I work from home now, and still show the proper courtesy towards my cat by showering every day;)
I'm not sure how many users the OP is supporting, but I get the feeling its more than a dozen or so. Even if it's not, I'd expect MS probably provides decent support even for such a small number of users, provided you're willing to pay for it.
And when something goes wrong, who're they supposed to go to for support? Enterprise email and calendaring isn't the same as hosting a couple calendars for your friends.
That's funny, if the dev kits are going out in June, what've companies been developing on all this time? I'm curious where you've even read that, as the article mentions nothing about dev kits.
If I remember correctly the story a few months ago about that artist who was fired for slamming the PS3 made some comments on the dev kits his team was using to develop their next gen titles.
Because Apple makes their money on hardware, Microsoft makes theirs on software.
I think THIS is what you were trying to say :)
How many of those single-booting users running Windows are actually running licensed versions? :)

I think you mean superscript characters. Slashdot seems to handle uppercase characters OK :)
I was more interested in who modded the FIRST post Redundant...

Depends - are you willing to pay his bandwidth fees?
time.windows.com :)
They could always go the Microsoft route and "extend" NTP so it's only compatible with their own products.. :)
The General Lee was a Dodge Charger, not a Pontiac GTO.

Except you could claim prior art, as many pictures of circles with a dot in the center (A bulls-eye!) have been painted in the past.
What's next, is Eolas going to file suit against every web browser capable of displaying in-line images?
Except Microsoft didn't "steal" anything, the patent is ridiculous, and the Eolas suit should've been thrown out.

Sure support may fall to you at the "first sign of trouble" but there are times when you may need to engage the vendor for assistance.
:)
And actually, the first mention of that "dozen" number came from you

Why would you suggest they upgrade to an abandoned product? That'd be worse than sticking with Groupwise.
He's a she.

But if the ad doesn't catch your attention at all, you're liable to flip right past it.
A dual-core system is a dual-cpu system - just because they share the same die doesn't change that.
