Or the professor could collect hundreds of questions and let the system randomly select so no two students have the same questions. Questions could be cumulative meaning that next semesters questions could be any of the 300 from last semester or one of the 100 from this one. Eventually there would be thousands of questions. Making it harder to cheat each semester.

I personally use open wifi connections, they are about as anonymous as you can get. I picked up a 10" google pad with GPS, installed the software and took a drive. They are all over the place, that is assuming you dont use the open one at the local bar, Denny's, McDonalds, Cigar club, Starbucks, etc, etc, etc.

If you look, you will find that open and available wifi connections are easy to find, completely anonymous, and fun. Fun because it is amazing what people will share on there local network with an open wifi connection ;)

KDE has had a search function like this for years. It is great, however... you have to know what you are looking for. Take a simple example of opening a console. We know it is called a console or terminal, or rxvt, or xterm, etc.. however a new user may not think of a term window, they may think "I need a command window" however, typing command windows does not display terminals.

Ill admit that this example can be handled with a lot of research using users who have never used linux before and asking them to type stuff.

Personally, I have gone over to using a panel with the most common apps on it and the search for stuff I use less often. However, I still use the menu from time to time to look up stuff that I just can't remember the name of.

Their are some types of Guns that are illegal, ( automatic weapons) because it is almost impossible to use them for legal purposes ( other then perhaps target practice if you are someone who enjoys that kind of thing) . But just because something MIGHT be used in an illegal fashion is not justification for preventing it's reasonable legal use.

Ummm, There are a lot of uses for Automatic weapons. Predator hunting comes to mind, and no not the movie, Hogs, Big cats, etc.

It is kinda funny, the National Firearms act was passed to regulate what were considered "gangster weapons" however, farmers had been using automatic weapons for some 20 years to control varmints and predators on their ranches. Heck they banned silencers in the same law but in many countries silencers are mandatory for hunting because it reduces the decibels of the gun shot to below that which does damage to the human ear. So it is safer for the hunter in the long run if he uses a silencer.

The whole point here is that for every "Illegal" intent, there are several "Legal" ones They tried to get VCR's banned because people could record TV shows and they (MPAA) insisted that it would lead to wide spread pirating. This is the same dance just a new tune.

If they are used for pirating then the problem may not be the service, it may lie somewhere else.

What they are talking about is a terry stop. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_stop) They can stop and frisk you for weapons based on reasonable suspicion of involvement in criminal activity.

Just because it happened to me once, they can have a "reasonable suspicion" that you are going to j-walk because you are walking down the side walk!

You will find that they can find "reasonable suspicion" in just about anything. S/His eyes were blood shot (Drunk or stoned), S/He looks out of place in this neighborhood, and my all time favorite "Three white guys under 25 at the mall must be there to cause trouble"

Note that "Reasonable Suspicion" is defined as a point where the investigating officer has weighed the totality of the circumstances to determine whether sufficient objective facts exist to create reasonable suspicion. VERY open and abused quite regularly in my opinion.
