It's not as big of a deal now since AMD is already going to stop telling the clock speeds of their chips as reported in an earlier article here. AMD's marketing team is already giving up on the MHz race.

  2. what about other problems? on Clockless Computing: The State Of The Art · · Score: -1, Interesting

Won't this cause a problem with the system bus, or at least require significantly changing the architecture. The system bus is a synchronous bus which runs on a timer and thus requires a clock. Other buses in the system may be asynchronous, but the system bus generally is synchronous. Furthermore, SDRAM synchronoizes itself with the processor. If we're eliminating this synchronization, won't we have to rethink a lot more than the processor to make this work? And is it really worth it?

tags to disrupt the page width more, but those got removed by the editors and I can't put them back thanks to Slashcode. :\

They didn't say the raid was about these sites, just that it was a raid because of a search warrant which was issued. There is good reason for this as it's been reported many times that terrorists are concealing information on the internet. Sure, the disruption isn't good, but it was a side effect of protecting Americans against terrorism, which is a good cause.
