I'm currently selling those great and very mobile Psion notebook PDA kind a things. You can write emails or work on your spread sheats for months, with 2 simple AA batteries!
Yes, I'm shipping to the US.
To me this is just another lesson on what the American life looks like. Those pictures on what people are writing about it. Reading on how Metlin "would sue this guy to kingdom come", is just another prove of the current American way.
With the 4th of July ahead, I thought it is time to watch Fahrenheit 9/11. At first I was surprised that this documentary won the first price in Cannes this year, but now I have to admit, "i'm lovin' it".
Although I can't agree with some of his conclusions. I like the way he leads us, especially Americans themselves, to remember and think about some very important issues.
Going thru numerous points of why the "war-president" is wrong. Moore, at the end, finds a wonderful quote* on what may be the true reason: "It does not matter if the war is not real. For when it is, victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, but it is meant to be continuous."
"A hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance, this new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or east Asia but to keep the very structure of society in tact" *...George Orwell's 1984
There may come new Displays (20, 23 and 30 inch with the known aluminum brushed metal look)

Think Secret writes they may even come with DVI port.
From there webpage ...Akamai routinely delivers 15% of the total Web traffic and pushes on average 40+ GPS (and growing)... Now if I would know what the hell GPS means.
I don't think the mean
Global Positioning System or misspeld GB/sec?!
Colin Powell used a slideware presentation in February when he made his case to the United Nations that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.
Of course, given that the weapons still haven't been found, maybe Tufte is onto something. Perhaps PowerPoint is uniquely suited to our modern age of obfuscation -- where manipulating facts is as important as presenting them clearly. If you have nothing to say, maybe you need just the right tool to help you not say it.
Following the schema of all Stanford CS courses, it will soon be at:/class/cs193e/
Since it already has a "Under construction...", the professor's assistant is probably already busy preparing the page.
So how do you make it work? I'm typing this on a new Powerbook with OSX, and I have sorta figured out how to change the font sizes (though they don't always seem to stay changed). But this applies only to text.
The writer was asking about such things as menus, images, etc. Nothing I do changes any of these at all.
Mac OS X features some tools for people with sight problems: universal access Seeing
If you have impaired vision, Mac OS X provides a range of options to help you see what's on screen. The fantastic display option "Zoom" uses the Quartz rendering and compositing engine to magnify the contents of your screen. Quartz makes graphics and type smooth, providing a high-quality experience.
Use the White on Black option to give your display higher contrast, allowing you to read text more easily. You can use speech recognition to launch applications as well as to execute application commands instead of typing or mousing. The system will also speak alerts, selected text and text underneath your mouse.
I just read an article by Wen-Yu Lang at Digitimes*,
about the new producer of the 15.4-inch PowerBooks in Taiwan. Which seems to give the answer: "Compal will start shipping 15.4-inch wide-screen PowerBooks for Apple in the second half of this year, with initial monthly shipments estimated at 30,000-40,000 units."
As we know Compal is allready producing the 12 and 17 inch model. Steve will surely introduce a new 15.4 inch PowerBook at WWDC (which is the best developer tool anyway). It's going to be all aluminium and 802.11g, but will there be a PPC 970?

Korea already has America's Broadband Dream. Could we, outside the US, please buy some songs too before it's all sold out? Wait it's just bits we are paying for...
iTunes Music Store International is missing!
Would be interesting to have sensors with included WLAN technology. This would make the technology very easy to install, surely this wouldn't eat much bandwidth.

Don't forget that Austrians have a rather bad history of running military super powers.

Lookily they brought it back to the big screen. Yet, to waste another generations time and money.
Because some opinions are more equal then others opinions...
