  1. Re:This won't stop at the US on Our New Pearl Harbor · · Score: 1

as you might already know, there were also serveral threats on tergets in western europe.. police tells people to stay away from the high rise buildings of the german "commerz bank" and "deutsche bank" in frankfurt and govt. buildings have already been closed off (any building belonging american or jewish organizations, too)

  2. Attacks also in EU ? on U.S. Attack -- More Updates · · Score: 1

the german news channel n-tv reports that bomb threads have been made regarding the german stock exchange in frankfurt and the office building of germany's chancellor, gerhard schroeder.
might the wave of terror spread to western europe?

  3. to get this all straight on LinuxTag Opens (Hackers are Homeless) · · Score: 1

okay, to get this all straight..: english, dutch, and deutsch (german) are all germanic languages (as opposed to french and spanish and italian which are romanic languages, based on latin). when the anglos and saxons came over to england in 1066 (willy the conqueror!) they brought their language with them, which would explain the close connction between low-german (niederdeutsch or plattdeutsch) and english (the region which used to mke up the dukedom of schleswig -now part of the state of schlesig-holstein- is also called angeln - the connection to the angos and thus to te anglo-saxons is obvious).. now the dutch were somewhere in between that whole stuff and they also traded a lot with other nations and that always influences the language of a country as well.
ergo: all those languages have the same root, just as humans and apes have the same ancestors.

Actually, I read somewhere else that Napster-users buy more CDs than the average person... Could it be that this is just some crazy Canadian phenomenon?

  5. Visa for Germany..? on Finding American Companies for Overseas Work? · · Score: 1

I lived in Germany for quite a while (right now i'm in the US but i'm going back next year) and if i'm right, germany is DESPERATELY looking for IT-professionals and is currently issuing short-term-visas (it should actually be visae..)which are sort of like a "greencard". You should easily be able to find a job at Infenion (Siemens), SAP, or even AMD.

  6. Re:the power of remote control on Radio Controlled Spy Plane · · Score: 1

the whole idea behind this is not really new. the navy has been using radio or wire controlled drones for quite a while (since the 1940's i think). drones like these were used in the nato operations in kosovo and other regions to spy out targets such as radars.

i'm not american either but i've been living here (more or less legally) for almost a year now.. and you're absolutely right! my theory: they're manipulatin our minds with supersonic waves or something that make every person in the us a patriot.
