IANAL but wasnt their a precedent set in the US courts recently where a company could be held responsible for creating a tool that enables copyright infringement.
Crazy as this is, arent Opera just asking for trouble here? Surely the smart thing to do would be to have someone develop plugin that provided BitTorrent functionality. Opera doesnt have pockets as deep as most corps but they are deep enough to make them a target.
It is important to bear in mind that there are An easier way is to learn Latin.people who have difficulty with writing. Dyslexia is the obvious example but there are also folks that are poor at writing like some are poor at math or sports.
To be honest, I dont tend to take much notice of spelling and grammer errors (I am worse that most people anyway). I think the fact that you imply 'educated' and 'working-class' are opposite ends of the same spectrum 'conveys information about you' far better than your spelling or grammer:o)
I have always maintained that the goal of writing is communication and as long as the context is conveyed then why worry about minor matters of protocol.
Perhaps he was voted in by an electorate who believes he would do a good job of representing the people regardless of his peronal beliefs (no matter how unconventional).
Perhaps he was voted in by an electorate who are concerned about the bill outlawing 'incitement to relgious hatred' that is about to pass through the commons and runs a risk of making various forms of satire and free speech (including your post) potentially illegal.
In any case, we now how cllr's from the BNP, I would rather see a self-proclaimed 'Jedi' in parliment than a nazi-wannabe.
maybe we'll begin to see more out-of-box compatibility with competing video players
or maybe we will see video player vendors creating new codecs, modifying existing ones and threatening patent enforcement to try to stay ahead of the game...
Im not sure that this particular project is outside of Google's remit. Essentially they are an information storage and retrieval company and this new tech seems to fit that pattern.
GBrowser probably doesnt (didnt) but this is a company that encourages staff to explore their own avenues so there is bound to be some diversity.
Everyone should be able to have a gun anywhere. The only people who don't carry guns are the ones who obey the law. The ones who carry guns are the criminals. Do you see why this is bad??
It is actually quite difficult to fault this logic. I have tried many times (as an anti-gun type) and I have to say that it seems reasonably watertight. In a society where only the criminals are armed the crime rate should be higher as the criminals do not fear reprisal.
I know that we are both missing something though, because when you compare actually numbers they paint a very different story.
Generally an armed society has lower rates of burglary (for example) but a much higher rate of gun related murders of passion, like road rage, or the murder of an unfaithful spouse.
Also, where there is burglary, (although rarer) someone usually ends up getting killed and it isnt always the criminal.
So I argue that all that happens when you arm a soceity is that you raise the stakes.
I believe that your approch would probably work if you had a socieity where there was equality, but with the huge rich-poor devide in the US, many people have little to lose and also many people have a collection of crap that they would risk their lives to defend.
It is an age old argument, but I believe the stats support my point of view.
I looked into courses at Devry a few years back. Unless they have been bought by Redmond then Java featured pretty seriously. Clearly not open source in the strictess sense, but hardly Microsoft-oriented either.
About 75 percent of a group of CEOs interviewed by IBM's Business Consulting Services said education and a lack of qualified candidates are the two issues with the greatest impact on their business
Lucas himself has stated (google it) that bringing balance to the force = killing all the sith. Personally, I prefer the twist of it meaning equal sith to jedi too but I will take it from the horses mouth.
It doesnt really matter, Anakin/Vader is responsible for both bringing the numbers to 2/2 and killing the emporer (and then dying himself) to bring the sith numbers to 0. Take your pick!
I quite enjoyed this movie but I have to agree with you. The sudden expression of guilt felt very out of place when compared to what he did shortly after. There was some level of moral justification in his attack on Mace (and I felt that this scene was an excellent mirror of Dooku's death). There was no real moral justification to slaugtering dozens of kids.
I was also quite surprised on how Anakin and Obi could perform great feats of acrobatics 2 feet above millions of gallons of lava without breaking a sweat. It is things like this that ruin the immersion for me, I am too busy trying to reconcile these images in my mind that I loose the storyline.
I do think that this move was better than 1 and 2 and probably even better than 6 but I need to see it a few more times before I can be sure.
This story seemed to hit all the major news outlets in the UK. I dont really know why.
I have seen the video a few times as the news stations have been airing it too. Its mildly amusing and probably a more productive endevour for the squadies than shooting people (IMHO).
I do advise agaist searching for the vid though. Its one of those songs that gets trapped in your brain and remains there for the day.
Just reading this story has put it back into my head! Thanks!
I think you will find that British history books are quite clear on the US involvement in world war 2. Infact, even if the history books are not clear on the matter, the numerous Hollywood movies seem to make it clear that most American's believe they were single handedly responsible for the victory in Europe. We understand that all Hollywood movies must be taken with at least a handful of salt and that leaves us with clear understanding, not to mention appreciation, for the US involvement in the war. You will find that UK pride in their achivements during WW2 stems mainly from the fact that we held out as long as we did against incredible odds. Remember... you did not experience the kind of attacks that London did during the blitz. Your war was far more conventional.
I agree with you about the founding fathers. I have the upmost respect for who they were and what they achieved. That respect used to extend to the US as a whole, but ever since the 2000 election I lost most of that respect. Your nation used to be great, and something to be respected and admired, but I think capitalism is now drawing closer to its inevitable failure, and the cracks are beginning to show.
The 'coalition' made accusations which they said they could substansiate (but strangely could make this evidence public for 'security reasons'). Attacked a country and killed thousands of innocent citizens. Many service men and women also lost their lives.
Later it was discovered that accusations were false. In my book, if you claim to have absolute proof that guarentees certainty of a fact and that fact latter turns out to be false.... you lied.
In any case, it seems that this coalition could do with a lesson in not making accusatiosn lightly too. The consequences of their accusations were far more serious!

Genius!
I call dibs on that joke for the dupe!
maybe you should become your own boss and hire yourself?
I tried that once... it lead to a costly sexual harrasment law-suit.

...so how is the value of each share decided?
I agree.
It is a shame that people en-masse cannot differentiate between the statements...
"Group A has a higher occurance of 150+ IQ than group B"
and
"Everyong in group A is smarter than everyone in group B".
Not if it's digital.

George should have learnt the same lesson I did during my BASIC days...
episode 10
episode 20
episode 30
etc etc...
Makes it easier to slot new episodes in between, and when things get hairy there is always 'renumber'.

Isnt this just the same issue stated twice?
"for example, blurring Tom's face in a Tom and Jerry cartoon, or erasing lines in Woody Woodpecker's fast-moving beak."
Or making one character seem to fire their blaster first when you were sure that the other fired first last time your watched it.

Surprisingly..... no.
A common misconception.
You cannot accelerate a mass > 0 beyond c.
Relativity does not prohibit travelling FTL, it just prohibits getting there from a speed < c. A subtle, but important distinction.

Judge me by my size, do you?
Nothing for you to see here. Please move along.
