I commuted 50 miles one way. No public transportation make that route.

After tolls and gas, it was almost 8000 a year before you tossed in oil changes and tires and stuff.

Riding a train would of been nice - but in America - the train system is stupidly funded (retirement is more important than repairing the system) , it's not expanding, and people who aren't riding trains are taxed to fund retirement.

Meanwhile, riding the train is costing more to the poor who can't afford increases and maintenance of existing railways is for shit. So congrats on the foreign train, and I hope that in the next four years some local imperatives shift a bit.

California and Mexico city suffer from a huge problem when it comes to air flow.

Mexico City is basically in a bowl, and the prevailing winds for California slap up against the rocky mountains and dump it all back on California.

So Yeah, they really do need to go all electric. But that's not a reason to ban non electrics from the rest of the world that doesn't put huge cities in the dumbest places where emissions are magnified.

  4. incorrect assumption? Who's going to buy those things when they don't have a job to pay for it?

Let's make this a bit clearer for the safety pin crowd. In this robot future Only the 1% can afford to buy anything. Why would they build robot factories to create things that would make massive amounts of stuff that only about 1% will ever be sold because only they can afford it?

Actually, it won't ruin many engines. Certainly none built after the late 90's.

Most people don't know that the only difference between an eco-fuel ford car and its non eco-fuel badged - is a software setting.

I used to be one of the people that thought the increased alcohol content would ruin gaskets, hoses, and cylinder walls, but the auto industry has already addressed it years ago.

Also, for around 150 bucks - most cars can be converted to run on ethanol, e-85, or methanol.

  18. Sorry, and by the way, I don't hate jews.

But it was. So much so that when the Nazi's rolled in, the lithuanians who had victims of the soviet jews, merrily pointed them out for a little "relocation" of their own. You might want to look into what happened in Ponary.

It's all recent history, poorly taught in schools (mostly because the focus is on the victims of the death camps, rather than the forces that lead up to an evil regime that struck back).

But it happened. And arguably, it's happening again. Altho it isn't the Jews this time around.

  19. No, it was because they wanted the land. If they wanted your home, you were "resettled", if they wanted your livestock they would replace it with watermelons. If they wanted your wife they would simply rape her. If someone fought back, they would kill them and dump them in the middle of town so they could find the others that needed to be punished since they showed emotion after seeing their dead family member.

Try talking to people that actually lived thru those times. I have. My grandparents and family from Lithuania, Australia, and America - separated simply because they had what the russian jews wanted.

  20. The Russian Jews sent my still living uncle to a gulag back before WW2, and really tore apart my family by chasing and moving them out of Lithuania, and despite us being on three different continents (the family still in Lithuania and the family in Australia and of course where i live in America) we don't hate the jews, we just wish stupid people like you learned a bit more about history.
