I'm confused. Why wouldn't it take you between stars? Does the termination shock rob you of all your gained velocity or do you mean once you hit the termination shock you won't gain any more speed from that point forward? I don't see why teh termination shock would have that much impact.

Thats the cold hard truth about it. As far as I know people aren't 100% failsafe either.

You could do it on a not so expencive scale. Sega master system let you play 3d games just fine. They did it by having polarized glasses that blinked for one eye then the other. The screen on the TV showed an image for the left eye then the right eye. It was pretty slick, never sure why it didn't quite catch on.

  10. Re:Why not do another book in the series on New Dune Movie Confirmed · · Score: 1

Funny enough I liked the David Lynch version more than the miniseries. While it wasn't as true to the story, teh budget had to have been higher. The fact that desert screens were actually in a desert was nice. The Scifi series was way to much sound stage and green screen.

Overall I liked the actors better from the David Lynch movie. Jürgen Prochnow was a much more convincing Duke Leto than William Hurt. Barron Vladimir Harkonen was also more convincing IMHO oh and you had Sting. Because of that I was willing to put up with all the liberties they took with the story.

Either way I'm looking forward to this new take on it.
