    Absolutely right! I haven't flown since pre-September 2001, and have no plans of doing so anytime soon, or in the future. I'd rather drive then deal with the security theater and the possibility that I'd be harassed, even though I have nothing to hide or have done nothing wrong. I've heard way too many stories of innocent people being detained for just having a similar name to someone "of interest".. I'll drive.

    Sometimes we'd play that you could use the name of anything or anybody that you could see in the room. so "Sony" would be ok as would "Bill" "William" .. whatever - but you'd have to be able to point it out in the room.

    Take a look in the app market. MANY of the apps are free, and there is usually a "just as good" free option for most pay apps.

    I always wondered when we'd finally switch from the same ol' method of controlling a car we've been using... well for the most part from the beginning of cars.

    I'm sure someone with the time to do it and some minor mechanical and electrical skills could make a modification to a car to function this way. Would be a fun project I think.

    Agreed with your points, but Internet Explorer is a piece of crap littered with bugs as well.. but yet many didn't use netscape (or even now still an alternate browser).

    Point is, majority of people don't understand that they have choice because they are lead to believe that they do not.

    The way I see it, this may have merit, similarly to Netscape vs. MS. - Why would anyone bother buying a tivo when they can just get it right with their cable bill?

    A week or so isn't going to be the end of the world. I'll wait for you guys to break your environments. I mean, if they are patching something - it HAS been broken all this time - since I installed the box. it didn't just break yesterday and then the patch came right out.

    And plus, all my boxes are only on the internal network. Sure, they say your worst enemy is your own employees - I say my worst enemy is broken Microsoft Patches.

    So go ahead, upgrade your boxes on patch tuesday. I've just had way to many experiences where that has caused me serious grief.

    I also would never be dumb enough to expose any microsoft machines to the internets.
    All I have to fear is my internal users, who can't figure out the correct place to type the URL in their web browser (you know, the "blue e thing")
