What I find entertaining is that while Newton was spending most of his time working on on alchemy and theology, he still had enough spare time to write/invent/discover the Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, Newtonian mechanics, universal gravitation, infinitesimal calculus, optics, binomial series and Newton's method.

How about we repeat the exercise daily at randomly chosen airports around the globe?

Screeners who miss the contraband (or allow a passenger to exit through an entry way) would be stripped of badges and ids, fired on the spot and escorted outside the airport.

Passengers originating at or transiting through airports with a poor screening record would be denied entry to the US.

    Seriously.

BTW, whatever the courts and the law said fair use was before the DMCA, if the DMCA says otherwise, doesn't the DMCA rule?

  12. Payment Insurance on Do You Write Backdoors? · · Score: 3, Insightful

As a lawyer and developer, I'd say back doors etc. may work for payment insurance as a practical matter, but if it comes to a legal push and shove, one might best have the explicit right in one's contract and/or have a good layer on board-- one conversant with the idea of consequential damages.
