Hear hear. Not seeming to go with the/. flow, although I uasualy do, M$ has no chance in this 'endevor'. Their programs, as a rule, are shoddily made, poorly thought out and generaly slow, bloated and ineffective. Not a chance they could take over that so pure as Google and do a better job, they might take it over any way, but user numbers will hit 0 - 10 a day with in 4 hours. And eventually Google will be back. Long live google!
Iunno... sounds to me like the Empire (TM) is trying to shut Linux/*nix users out of playing Cd's on our computers. It sounds suspiciously like having a program to decode a CD made by Microsoft. I'm just wondering how long it will take them to realize that in order to make any CD copy proof, you can't sell that CD to any one with a stereo (any EE can rig it up to take the analog out put and feed it through his computer off a mini-system). Oh well, let them waste their money, no skin off my nose.
I must say that i agree with you. I think the time has come to move on. Not to forget but to not only think of that when ever we hear a plane or a thunder-clap. Don't label me as insensitve, I mearly feel taht we cannot heal untill we move on. Moreover i think that its time to put a stop to this anti-terrorism witchhunt. Granted there are terrorists out and about in the world and they should be tracked down, but in today's world any faction can gain governmental support by claiming to fight terrorism. Let's not do salem (circa 1603) all over again, ok folks?
Not a coward eh? then why isnt your/. account name your real name and your signature your address? Face it, we're all paranoid about out liberties getting yoinked so why not protect them a litte.
I know I do. Its great for boot disks, simple transfer of small files like, word documents, Powerpoint presentations, retro-games, and pix with out the sometimes annoying networking process or uploading. Above all they are cheap, reliable and plentiful. Floppies maybe an outdated technology but it still has its uses. Maybe it is time for a new method, but it has to have the above listed advantages of 3.5 diskettes. I think a larger holding space is in order, just without a bigger price tag.
i think that this pratice is a great idea. there are so many high shcool aged guys that i know that would jump on this in a heart beat, my self being one of them. Among the people i know this has always been an interesting idea but never acted on becasue of district restrictions. maybe if other schools are more willing to do it ours will be too.
I dont think that an ergo-board would realy help combat something like CTS on its own, personaly I've gotten something very close to CTS, and have it now, from writing a 7 page paper in 5 hours. I think its primarly work habbits more than anything else. for more info follow this url.[ http://www.carpal-tunnel-questions-and-answers.com / tml/prevention.html ]
Im not sure that realism is such a bad thing. I personaly enjoy have a highly interactive and realistic environment, as in GTA 3 and more so in Opp. Flash., but the other side has its benifits as well. RPG's should have a certian degree of realism though, its totaly useless to have a party of super characters who are totaly invincable. i think that this, as in many things, balance is the most important factor.
i feel the same way. personaly i dont watch much tv in general, its a general waste of time. (except earthshateringly important things like the acme hour). Howerver when i returned from my daily activities on tuesday i was compled to turn on the tv or radio or a thousand different browser window. its not like i wanted to all that much, quite frankly is depressing as hell, but we as a contry have gotten so used to having so much avaiable to us as far as news media goes that its realy hard not to listen to something, sad realy.
i dunno about what the rest of u are thinking but personaly im scared out of my mind about the whole big brother idea, which is exactly what this fella' is talking about. just thinking about not haveing the liberty to do what i want in the "privacy" (and im not even going in to that particular issue) of my own home is and should be soley my busness, not that of some cia spook 500 miles away that thinks im amusing. what ever our "founding fatheres" thought when they made this contry, although through various ambiguities in their posts we can never realy know, i can assuredly say that having ameriucan citizens spied apon by their own government for no good reason was not among the principals of this nation at is founding.

Unless I'm mistaken the theft diserved a paragraph on page five of the New York Times this morning. Not much, but it was there.
Al Gore must be very pissed to hear that he did not, in fact, invent the internet as he has clamed a few times. ^__^

this is a horrible pratice. the real question is how can it be stopped and how many other services are doing the same thing?
