Just because it's the job of the military to kill people doesn't mean it's okay.
That depends, I'd say. Killing an enemy who is attacking or invading your country, or poses a clear and present danger to your country's security is OK, IMO.
...they'd better offer an in-place upgrade from Windows 7. Nobody (well, almost nobody) is going to back everything up, do a fresh OS install that blows away the old one, and then reinstall everything and reconfigure everything. It just takes too damn long. I'm thinking about moving my Dad from his XP machine to a Chromebook for exactly this reason - I'd upgrade him to Win8, except you can't do that.
I've never really understood why people continue to get so excited about what basically would have been the Canadian version of the MiG-25, only slower. An F-15 or Su-27 could wax this thing's ass any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
...we should do it to ourselves, too. The entire Western world should adopt a carbon tax, and implement it as a tarriff on any country that doesn't adopt it voluntarily. The money raised should be dumped into nuclear fusion development.
Back in the early-mid '90s there was an active-suspension version of the Infiniti Q45. The engineers at the time said they could make the car lean into turns, but they didn't because test audiences found it too disconcerting.
Interesting that none of the comments so far talk about the blatant privacy violations that facebook commits on a regular basis. Even more so, nobody talks about the fact that violating your privacy - or convincing you to willingly give up private information - is the very business model of facebook.
All of which you agreed to when choosing to use Facebook. Believe it or not, you don't have to use it.
...not that it was really at the top of my list anyway. But seriously? They expect you to buy a new phone just to visit/travel there? That's going to be a serious problem for a lot of people. It's almost as though they want you stay out.
I might have been living under a rock, but I have no idea whatsoever what OneNote is and it is entirely unclear from the submission. Would it be too hard to mention this?
It's a note-taking/sharing/information-capture app along the lines of Evernote, if that helps.

Ever heard of pre-cana?
You know, nobody is putting a gun to your head and making you use Facebook. If you don't want to use it, don't use it.
Why does the intro refer to BA degrees? ICBW but I'd imagine most CS degrees are Bachelor of Science degrees (mine is).
Start developing Robots that are "3 Laws Safe," before you wish you had.
Nice thought, but I'm not sure how you'd do such a thing. The laws would have to coded in software, and software can be changed...?
...but not till I've got one of my own!
...they'll bring in some jaguars to eat the monkeys, and then...
Then it must be a very low-volume platform.
So what if it's about drugs? Some of them should be legal.
...apparently T-Mo is now America's fastest growing carrier. So maybe they're on to something.
...somebody should get moving on an adaptation of Anansi Boys, too. But definitely American Gods, first.
Is this irony or coincidence? I was never taught the difference.
Alanis Morrissette can explain it to you.
What, they've never heard of carbon paper in Russia?
If you really needed the shale oil and you didn't have fossil fuels to do the extraction you could run the extraction process using a nuclear plant.
If you've got a nuke plant, why not just make electricity?
So now every software developer will have another calendar to have to convert back and forth between...
Aren't golf courses irrigated with grey water these days?
I don't think persimmon makes sparks when hitting a rock.
You don't use titanium clubs on greens. And if you're hitting your putts hard enough to make sparks, you're definitely doing it wrong.
