No different from every American I've met saying at one point or another "wohla!" (voila) or "toot sweet" (toute suite). The English language is a wonderful thing, more than capable of absorbing "foreign" words. You do know it's of Germanic origin, don't you?

Paper EWD404 (and others) offer some evidence of his being unpleasant, or at least xenophobic / nationalistic. Apparently, the only computer scientists worth anything more than an insult were fellow-Dutchmen. He manages to be ignorant about both the US and the French in one short paper.

Who said anything about putting complex business logic in a JSP? I would use tags. I suggest you learn to read posts before responding. I am quite familiar with MVC. BTW, it's either Model 2 or MVC. Using both in a sentence is somewhat redundant.

Initially, there was no clear role separation for servlets and JSPs, since a servlet could generate and display HTML just as easily as a JSP could perform business logic.

This isn't true. You can output HTML from a Servlet, that much is sure, but it is much smarter (and less work) to use a JSP instead. Think of all those out.println("") statements if you were to use Servlets... ugly!

There's C#, VB.Net and an architecture that has allow Python.net, Perl.net, Fortran.net, Cobol.net and others. The multitude of languages comes into its own when you realise that objects written in one language are easily used in every other language, so you can have 1 developer using Perl, another using C#. Try that in Java. Try any cross language development in Java.
Are you referring to Java the language, or Java the platform? If it's the former, this is a silly statement. If it's the latter, you are mistaken. There is no reason why another language could not be used to generate bytecode for the Java Virtual Machine.

So what? Was I addressing an English audience? I was referring to anti-French feeling in the US, to wit such childish, tantrum-like actions as renaming "French" fries (fries are a Belgian invention, by the way), etc. Some of the rhetoric in the US media is downright racist -- were people to describe other nationalities in the same vein, there'd be uproar. You know, I think you behave like this because you know the French were actually right. Where are the WMDs?
