    I think if Richard had children and the demands of feeding and housing a family he might have somewhat different views. I'm certainly far less left leaning that when I was in academia.

    Honestly, non-programmers shouldn't be allowed to use computers.

    Maybe microsoft could come out with some crappy 12 button keyboard so he can have a "mobile phone" like user interface.

    I wonder though, if a predictive-text entry numeric keypad wouldn't actually be good for programming. I could update the dictionary with my variable and function names.. hum... nah. My thumb is half broken as it is.

    This will push up online sales, not lower them.

    I still remember buying LPs rather than cassettes because of the quality of the album cover ( early genesis fans will know what I mean ). I'm sad those days are gone

    Can't see the web site, so don't know what they did.

    I've been using olive oil successfully for years. Pour a smal drop on and wipe over the surface with a lint free cloth. Recommend not reading the CD in your best drive though (although I have had no trouble)

    I was just hinting that it is really the fools who have high speed net access, left on 24-7 but do not bother to consider computer security who are too blame - not the computers themselves.

    From my comment rating I guess my point was lost. Maybe less british comedy next time ;o)
