I'm guessing a more accurate headline would be: One-Third of Employees Admit to Violating Company IT Policies
The rest just didn't let on - because there is no way the number is that low. Or they didn't outright lie, they just didn't even know they had violated company policies.
There are so many ubuntu books available - it's really quite an indication of how popular this distro has become. Though the same measuring stick would show that fedora has more material out there. It has been around longer though.
I work with Red Hat in my job, so I stick with Fedora but I'm seeing more folks around here running Ubuntu on their desktops.
The first place I saw this was LinuxToday which linked to this cnet article on the matter and I've done some digging since and I've got a few questions. Maybe someone here will know.
Is there a difference between Compound Document Formats and the Compound Document Framework. Are the formats implementations of the framework and if so are they supporting a chosen format or the entire framework?
Do any existing office suites support this framework/format?
It's already been voiced in the thread, and is said very well in this post about the need for complete drivers instead of just drivers that work - but not fully.
Ratchet has to collect bolts. He has insufficient bolts and then begins to eye Clank. It's basically the old idea of two people marooned on an island or lost in the desert and the other person starts to look like food or drink. Although in this case, Clank really would contain what Ratchet needs. I've never played the game - so sorry if I'm wrong. But combined with the post here- I think I've got it right.
I have difficulty with perceiving $1 million as significant to Verizon. Smack seems a bit strong. This to me looks more like a payoff to make the problem go away.
It's all about the lawyers. They'll be taking more than $8 each. Have you seen the ad they are running in magazines for the settlement over Herbalife? Max payout per person - $75 (it will be a lot less). Money going to the law firm - not including costs - over 2 million. Class action suits benefit the law firms and not anyone else.

Sometimes posting to slashdot feels like that person frantically pushing the button on jeopardy - but they don't get selected. It's too bad the time stamps we see don't show down to say hundredths of a second so we could see just how close our posts were to one another.
I'm guessing from your comment history that Spanish is your first language. You say you have an inquiring mind - so I hope you wont take offense if I point out that your question would have been better phrased this way - "Why would the Department of Revenue use a laptop with sensitive information, making it easier to steal than a desktop?"
My Spanish is extremely rudimentary. My French isn't much better. I certainly couldn't do as well as you have here, on a board that wasn't English. Just thought you might appreciate the tip.
I think the level of stupidity involved shows that he is a good potential candidate at some point in the future. He'll either get himself killed in prison, waxing rhapsodic about the good old days of segregation in the south - or go out in flaming glory shortly after prison, immediately after uttering the timeless words, "Bubba, watch this!"
I've seen that before. I can't tell you how much it bothers me. I guess that guy video taping it should just be glad that his idiot friend couldn't afford a bigger helicopter.
no. the top five photographs of all time is the absolute truth about those pictures. the top five reasons to vote for Ron Paul are real, reasonable reasons. the funniest clip of colbert ever on youtube, is well, the funniest ever. that's not offensive or sensationalist - it's the honest to Dawkins truth.
somebody already said it but contrails can be formed by both and those formed by turbulence don't need to be formed at high altitude. I've watched contrails of the wings of enough hornets on final to verify that - and that'd be sea level.
I've also watched contrails forming directly behind the engines of aircraft - with my own eyes - through binoculars. So you don't need to point me to any papers - I've got enough direct experience. This reminds me of the time someone tried to show me the math on why I was wrong about experiences I've had with bird shot falling around me while dove hunting. I couldn't argue the math - but I know what happens, I've been there.
You're wrong. According to wikipedia contrails have a positive effect. Anyways, I'm not saying that the carbon emissions are good so that is irrelevant. If all they do is switch fuels, but the engines operate under the same principles as they do now, then I imagine contrails will continue to exist as engines will continue to put out water vapor.
I don't think anybody has nearly as clear a picture of how our planet's weather as we would like. It sure would be nice. I could plan my days at the beach better and we could quit guessing about what is best for the environment and maybe get a little more consensus and action, though I doubt too much more. So are contrails in and of themselves good or bad? I don't think anyone can say.
Thanks! I had a friend who used to quote it all the time. This was years ago- and I never knew where it came from. That's totally cool.
sign these papers!
what do the papers say?
they say that we have treated you well.
i cannot sign the papers

huh - I'd never heard that but it would explain a lot.

Come on homeless - that was just for fun. No need to get the hackles up.
He didn't - then he tried to use the printer with another computer. Couldn't do that either.

before this day is over, I will tell someone 'You just pulled a shteven'. Yeah- my entertainment threshold is just that low.

there should be a word for someone who has only ever made one logged in comment at slashdot and completely failed it in the process.

yeah - one of the 'surprises' it contains will almost certainly be the last for someone on board or in close proximity to the thing.
