As a child I had a ZX Spectrum. Most games where sold at £5.
When the Hobbit came out it was retailed at £15, then well out of my league. So myself and some friends formed a cartell and pooled our money and baught one copy that we then coppied amonst our selves.
I can't rember how meny of us where in the cartell but I'm sure that their where more than 3 of us. So insted of selling x units at £5 where x was > 3
the softwhere house sold 1 unit at £15
They went bust soon after.
The morral of the story; If companies want to protect their IP rights and make money on them then DONT place such a high valu on any individual coppy
You make a backup.

Your Database gets currupted and you have no transaction logging
People add new data
You notice the database is currupted and role back to the last backup
Anny one who has added data since the last backup will loose it
In the UK Parents and others can train to become Teaching Assistansts. These are unpaid volantiers who donate their time to help out at their local schools.
I'm sure that with the vast expertease/.'s have with Open Source projects and the fact that they can leagally 'Upgrade' the entire schools network for free, we should be accepted with open arms.
Hell we my even be able to start socialising with real humans again;-)

That way I'd know that when they become teeagers they woud have a balanced outlook on life and the possabilaty of a well paid job rather than sitting at the end of the street waitng with a baseball bat for your friends and relatives to walk past.
Good education is the cheepist way of reducing crime that I know.
And before any one goes on about well educated crimanels, note that I said reduce not elimanate.
Part of the problem is that when Rail Track (RT) took over thy found they wher paying all this people near retirment age to wandet up and down the line every night.
As they where spending all the time streaching their legs and they where so close to retirment age any way RT sacked them.
3 years on RT is wondering where all their enginears are and why no one seams to inspect/understand large sections of the inferstructure any more
In Hull in the UK.The City did own the TelCo. until about 5 years ago. Then they sold 51% to cable and wirless. Now they are expanding into BT's territry.

In that case why dont I go and beat up the first US citizen I find over hear in the UK. As they should'nt be afforded the same rights as a UK citizen
IIRC Space invaders used that to change the colour of the 'nasties' as they moved down the screen
In that case who owns the copyright to ROT-13
The UK law only applies to UK citizens.
A forigener who went to Bancock for child sex abd them came to the UK could not be arrested.

Yes and then you get that helpfull little MS Dialog Box saying 'Installing the JAVAVM will allow unknown people to access your .NET account details'

I wonder if it works on lawers as well
