Saying that it's emulating WoW poorly is a bit harsh, considering that the large scale PvP or RvR side of it is more emulating their previous MMO more than WoW. Which is what attracted me (and still does) to this game as I personally find WoW dull in this respect.
"To participate, you either have to pre-order the game which nets you an invite code or you have to be a preexisting closed beta tester."
Tell that to the tens of thousands of people that got them without pre-ordering or being in the closed beta from community sites such as Freddyshouse and Multiplay to name but two.
I doubt ganking in Warhammer Online will get as bad as it is in WoW.
If a high level player enters a low level zone and gets flagged for RvR, they're turned into a chicken which can be killed easily by any low level player.
I must say I've had more fun in the past few weeks in this game than the 6 months I spent in WoW and can't wait for it to go live.
Both PvE (especially Public Quests) and RvR are a joy to play and the way RvR is handled in this is much improved over DAOC's where you saw very little action until higher levels.
Seemed like the kids at my school who had "Beebs" tended to come from families that would be considered to be "middle class", whereas the rest of us scruffy lot had ZX Spectrums, Commodore 64s and a few with various ones like Acorn Electrons, Oric Atmoses and Dragon 32/64s.
I think it was Iain Lee who said, in the Channel 4 documentary "Thumb Candy", that parents gave their children BBC Micros if they wanted them to grow up to be accountants.
Especially after the problems that the British Experimental Rocket Group had in the 1950s with those three astronauts and that incident in Westminster Abbey.
The music from Rob Hubbard, Martin Galway, Ben Daglish and Mark Cooksey for various Commodore 64 games would come high in my list of best all-time game tracks. RH's "Monty On The Run" would be near the top, if not at #1.
Due to the limitations of the ZX Spectrum, there aren't many tunes high up apart from "Fairlight"'s intro tune which I prefer to the version used in the C64 game "Wizardry".
Well it's a rather common mistake. Thankfully it's one you can get away with in speech!
I tend not to correct people's language*, but as it was a discussion regarding gender it was far too tempting to point out that this word changes according to gender.
Unfortunately there's nothing for the PS3 that's caught my eye as much my 360. The 360 also supports mouse & keyboard but not for many games. Any game support is mostly limited to RPGs apparently.
I'd probably ditch my PC as a gaming machine and get a Mini for non-gaming stuff too if more FPS games on the 360 supported mouse & keyboard controls find using an analogue stick for targeting to be clunky and imprecise.
I'd have assumed that the previous poster was referring to horizontal (or vertical resolution*), not the actual pixel count within that missing area
Seeing as it leaves 384000 pixels out of the original 409920, the 25920 pixel loss accounts for a fairly small loss of 6.3%.
* depending on which way you're holding it ;)
Dimensions In Time which was a Doctor Who/Eastenders crossover for Children In Need.

To wind up a Doctor Who fanatic, all you have to do is tell them that you believe that the story is canon.

I do personally prefer DAoC's RvR though.
I rather liked Stonkers but it was prone to crashing

There were 3D isometric games before Knight Lore, such as Sandy White's Ant Attack, but Knight Lore's Filmation engine featured forced perspective.

Sweet's "Love Is Like Oxygen" is another one that's commonly mistakenly credited to ELO on P2P

I'm not sorry if I sound like a fanboy!

You mean like the respec stones that Dark Age Of Camelot had a couple of years before WoW launched?
Indeed and pronounced "mam". She dislikes "marm".

"If you mean the UK with Europe you're right."
Or perhaps he could mean the UK, Spain, Portugal and a lot of Eastern Europe?

it's a piece of cake to get actually
There were several multi-load games for the ZX Spectrum including Agent X". Yes, it was annoying.

* except for the occasional bricks through the window of shops that use greengrocers' apostrophes.
You're missing an 'e' there then. 'Fiancé' is masculine; 'fiancée' is feminine.
Someone's created an unofficial FoV fixing patch for this demo apparently. Link about halfway down this page.

I suspect if the song ended up in a Guitar Hero II song pack it'd be "as made famous by Steve Ray Vaughan"
