Agreed. I find it funny they're complaining about services they didn't invent or startup, and then complain that they're not sufficiently to India's benefit. Being technical and being creative are two different things, so perhaps they should focus more on developing and providing their own vision.

  12. That has nothing to do with the First Amendment. Why do so few people understand what free speech means? It means the government can't penalize you for speaking your opinion; it says nothing of a private institution suing you over a disputed NDA or contract. There should be some other legal recourse however to defeat this ridiculous, draconian license.

I'm a little pleasantly surprised they came clean and didn't just continue to run with it, to stir up more "ruhssian treason" sentiment.
OTOH however, they also know that the first accusation that goes out gets repeated and retweeted the most, and relatively fewer people pay attention to retractions or corrections, most particularly if those don't align with their political confirmation bias. In many people's perspective, this will continue to be yet another russian "hack" of the DNC.

Agreed. I think Net Neutrality is a good idea and didn't want it repealed, but this has nothing to do with selective throttling or charges. It's the nature of the plan. Sounds like another CA municipality exploiting an unrelated issue just to get on the anti-Trump bandwagon.
"This is Trump's America " is the new, "It's Bush's fault" and "Thanks Obama", though the latter was more often said jokingly.

  15. They also had pro Bernie Sanders ads, pro/anti Hillary ads, pro/anti BLM ads, pro/con immigrant ads, every hot button topic..the works, from both angles.
The idea was to sow discord and division, more than to promote any single candidate or party (namely, Trump), at least at the primaries stage, and then secondarily, I think, maybe bolster the fringe elements of each party, both Trump and Bernie, just to stir things up more.. because they were perceived as outside the political mainstream.
This only works insofar as Facebook ads are really that effective, which is doubtful. The only people they'd most likely, potentially affect would be the undecided independents, as most Rs and Ds tend to vote along party lines regardless.

BTW, just because something is a corporate entity doesn't mean the people who run it can't have a collective political bias too.

It's called the electoral college, it's pretty ironic that you call out someone else for being dumb. It's how it's always been done, for good reason, and it's not a "loophole". If you can't understand that we are the United STATES of America, and not just "America", as in, one huge monolithic overbearing federal government, then the whole concept of the country is lost on you.
Furthermore, they weren't looking to back any one candidate: Mueller's info shows that the Russians that were indicted were essentially trying to create division and paranoia among the voting public, and thanks to people like you they've been wildly successful. Remember they also put out ANTI-trump ads, and pro BERNIE ads as well. And lest we forget, the DNC did their part to push Trump as a republican nominee.

FB has a shit PC interface. With the ton of code their pages use, why can't I click on an article (or even on a different post from the "reply" notification that pops up) that takes me off my feed, then click "back" and return to the spot in my feed where I was? Nope, it starts all the way at the top again, and I have to dig down a dozen or more pages to find where I left off. Usually I try to open another tab for that, but sometimes you just forget.
