My guess is that a Sony Clie NX60 (which you can get for like $130 refurb) would fit your needs well. uses USB, syncs with Macs & Linux, hires 320x480 display, good backlight, rechargeable, replaceable LiIon battery, Plucker works great on it.
The quote absolutely was not taken out of context. I was at AWS when this happened, and listened to this conference call just like the rest of the IT employees. It really was supposed to be a motivatioal thing, but it fell on its face. I know I and a number of others started looking for a new job that very day.
Sure, but its not possible to get totally deionized water. By it very nature, The water will ionize due to radiation of sorts, naturally (the H+'s break off from the HO's).
Its possible to make water nearly non conductive, but not totally.
I agree with this concept - it makes alot of sense. I was just saying that a pure flat method is silly.
Re: #4) I agree with the concept, but I dont agree with the death penalty....but pretty bad penalities like LONG prison terms and capture of assests doesn't bother me.
Your comment is the only one I've read so far that was decent and intelligent, so I'll respond to you.
I DO think that we should use taxes as a social equalizer. I WANT that. I dont care in the least about credit for it, I just want it to happen. Fundamentally, our goal is the same, I think
I agree, we DO need to offer free health care, and good free education. But thats costs MUCHO $$. Who is MORE able to afford that? The rich, pure and simple. Even those like me who make a decent living and dont need it all should be contributing. My argument is that the promary burden should be shifted to those to whom a large tax means less.
I think we want the same thing....but I think flat taxes are the wrong way to get there. CERTAINLY we need it to be simplified, but flat isn't the way to do it.
Yeah, and you'd have the most unfair (notice I didn't say inequitable) taxing system ever. What a mess this would be! The poor, who currently pay basically no taxes on their 18K per year suddenly owe $3.600 / year, which is like 4 months rent. The rich making $1million per year owe 200,000, but that doesn't affect them in the least - 800K is still ashitload of money.
We have tax breaks because we want to ENCOURAGE people to get an education and child care, so that they dont have to decide between rent and school.
The whole concept of a universal flat tax is just silly if you think about it for more than 5ns.
Monowall (www.m0n0.ch/wall) is a greaqt application for this. Can run from CDROM, CF or on a Soekris board - can do per IP bandwidth limiting/shaping, and totally free, based on BSD. It was trivial for me to set it up here.
You'll make yourself happier if you do, and never have to question 'what if'. I dont think the 4 month 'hole' is dubious, either. Write down what you did, its not shameful at all. You tried something new, it didn't work out. Big deal - if you are skilled technically, I dont think a company would hold the fact that you took a small risk against you.
All cars produced after 1996 are required to support something called OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics II). This is the computer that causes your check engine light to come on, and its the computer that reports to the mechanic what the cause is. You can buy interfaces for this system that lets you monitor all sorts of engine sensor data, as well as things like throttle position, calculated load, etc. There are plenty of companies thats make serial interfaces to this system....www.digimoto.com is one that I like. Even cooler, the law requires that the port be accesssible within 3 feet from the driver!
At my University I had to sign something to alow my parents to receive my grades, even though they paid the tuition. It had soemthing to do with FERPA.
Dude, we're all proud of you for having just finished reading 'The Da Vinci Code' (a fabulous book), but don't post all this as though it came out of your head. This is practically verbatim from the expository sections of the book.
...I mean really, the video rental places do it all the time, and I haven't seen the US Marshals at my local BlockBuster storming in when I walk out with some XBox game.

I totally recognize that - I meant ionizing radiatin as another way to generate ions in water, not as the cause of the equilibrium.

I've read through the order three times now, and can't find where SCO has been ordered not ot comment? Can someone point that out to me?

My SMC Barricade 7004AWBR can do this from its web interface. Its a great router in general too, and linux friendly.

Check out speakeasy.net. They have really good prices, good servers, and are geek friendly. They even have a 'sysadmin package'.
I have an iPod, and use it with the new iTunes. It is utterly seamless. No differenmce from the mac.
Also, the DS3 (for data) is 45.1 MBit. But I think the parent is right - You probably wont hit the limit of the bus.
The Sony Ericsson T616...fabulous phone - available on on ATTWS and Cingular

* Ultra-stable.
* Reboots by shaking!
Does anyone else find these two to be just a little contradictory?
How abour FreeBSD? It sextrmely fast on lw end hardware.
For a window manager try either fluxbox (my favorite) or blackbox.
/usr to /user
/usr stands for Unix System Resources, not User.....

You shouldn't. If you don't need it/want it, why would you even consider buying it?
