    I think he meant without stripping it apart and putting a new processor/motherboard/memory into it... because a pre-2005 doesn't have anywhere near the hardware.
    Nowhere near much of anything technology related, actually.

    It basically is a veiled attempt to poke fun at geeks with nerd and social outcast personas.
    I couldn't get through the first two shows before becoming sickened everytime it came on.

    Jeff is right, i watched Avatar in 3D twice (once myself, once with someone else because they wanted someone to see it with) and both times were great with no issues.
    I also watched probably 4-5 other movies in the new 3D glasses, with the same outcome. It might have to do with eyesight or perception.
    Either way, it's not the tech that is an issue, it's how humans aren't the same.

    Drones are just a rename of remote controlled helicopters (or quadcopters), the only thing new is the attachment of cameras for consumer grade versions, along with better control features. I don't see them going away anytime in the near future. Changed, yes, but not going away.

    It does take a bit to get your shotgun from the closet, grab a shell or two, load the chambers, then walk back outside.
    Not everyone has a 3000 sq ft house with their shotgun in a vault in the master bedroom upstairs. Hell, mine is 5 seconds away and I'm in my house.

    What does that have to do with anything? It's still shooting at something that's not causing any problems in spite of speculation. I don't go around smacking cell phones out of peoples hands because I think they're taking pictures of me. It's about the same thing.

    No, no the volume button in cars have not almost always turned on the system.
    In fact, I've never had a radio in my 41 years alive that did that.
    Power buttons have been de facto standard, at least in the USA in the states I've lived in.

    Speak for yourself on that one. I, and MILLIONS of others in the USA, want roads that last more than "very few years".
    Living through reconstruction of the roadway (or rather, lack thereof as it falls apart and its cracks filled with tar) is a ridiculous and laughable.

    Do you subject your bumper to impacts more than 5 mph for a it's entire lifespan?
    (hint: you're bumper is only covered with plastic, filled with styrofoam, and has a metal band on the inside to withstand the 5 mph impact)

    I'm the same way. I got my gmail account back when you had to be invited. I was going to use it as a spam catcher account but I noticed quickly that no matter what I did nothing bad was really coming through. I've used it as my primary account for over 8 years now, and I think maybe 4-5 emails made it through.
