Businesses use both, actually. Bank Of America, Wells Fargo, American Express, Charles Schwab... I could go on and on. MSSQL is mostly used when Microsoft-related items need to query the data, or some other product that drank from the Microsoft kool-aid. Every other time, I've seen a mix of Oracle, MySQL, & Postgres.
I wish microsoft would think that... Every damned version of Windows to come out has everything completely re-tool'ed:(... and as a Unix guy, I have to re-learn it to support the "enterprise backend".
I'm taking it you're a windows person, saying that. Let me introduce you to the X protocol, if you use an application that requires a GUI. The idea of a console based GUI is very obsurd for a data-center server.
Not true. With a good foot, you can have decent fuel economy in PWR mode. It takes self-training, though. You obviously can't slam your foot down and expect 50 MPG. That being said, I use ECO normally and PWR when people get stupid and I need to distance myself from mustangs or ricers.
hint: if mom/dad do emails, buy a ~$40 bluetooth keyboard. It's by far not a poor replacement, unless their vision is so poor that the screen size is an issue when it's a foot or so away from their face. The only time it'd ever be an issue is when they'd want to watch adobe flash on the net.
He did. More than one is better than one. Keep your mom away from iPads. If she's menopausal, you don't want to give her weapons that will actually do damage to you judging by your attitude.
Probably because USB is slow. USB 2.0 is 280 Mbit/s (35 MB/s)
USB 3.0 might be an alternative in the future, but it's fairly new. Then again, the USB 2.0 subsystem is used on iPhone 5, so the actual interface layer is lightning in order to allow it to be smaller.

If you have a desktop machine that is mission critical, you need to evaluate your deployment strategy...

That would be funny, if it were true...
It's an age old joke, but a Prius is actually pretty speedy.
If it's a business, it's on my shitlist.
You were wrong.
Your requiring the world to change to suit you.

That's like a person going from a horse & carriage to a car trying to find a place to tie the carriage to the back of the car.

If you own a toyota and ford still sells cars, is the toyota owner unhappy?
It also weighs about as much as a 90% sized keyboard. :-(
You're right though, the keyboard is a pretty good size.
