With whatever the next format of DVDs uses, we may lose the ability to play on untrusted devices, since they don't care about backward compatibility. With audio CDs, however, not making something backward compatible guarrantees it as DOA (look at DVD audio or SACDs... Or more to the point, try to find one to actually purchase).
a lot of SACDs are released in HK so they ARE available
depends why you make them. i think most people go to the trouble because they like making things rather than trying to get laid using an old ferrari replica.
replica computers ... its logical innit?

people have been building replicas of old cars, boats and aeroplanes for years. i suppose its logical that people would start building replicas of old computers sooner or later. much computer hardware is boring these days, generic MBs and computers. ahh the good old days when we had some variety;)
no the loss was mostly due to the stock market falling and affecting the value of the stock apple holds (or something), before that was taken into account they made a slim profit
Can you change the color and shape of the window border
yes, quite a few apps can do it
Can you make my OS X look like Star Trek LCARS interface like I could with OS 9 and Kaleidoscope?
maybe not LCARS yet but there are themes and they are getting better all the time. i use a BeOS theme on my OSX boxes. theming on X is not as extensive as kali could do to pre-X but its getting there. don't forget kali was developed and improved over a long time.
many tools are broken with subsequent upgrades to the OS
this has always happened, look at all the OS8 hacks that were broken by OS9. new versions of the apps will no doubt appear to work with the new OS version.
so basically i don't really see what all the moans are about.
actually a lot of non-geek people have to use telnet for mail or even net BBSes (such as monochrome so for the sake of a few K i think such a tool is a good idea on this CD.
my dad got ahold of a couple of these phones cheap, we did have a "base station" in the shops nearby (further than 100m though) so we never actually used the phones as mobile phones. they made for good cordless phones in the house though. compact.
the only gifs i use are animated ones, and those not often. i've used PNGs instead for nearly 2 years now, IE supports it, Netscape supports it, iCab supports it.

well done, you contradict yourself in just 2 sentences

all power to him!
but i'm looking forward to seeing pics of the moon landers still on the moon. why? don't ask, just think its interesting.
sorry, what parts of drag and drop does iCab not support which Explorer do?
yeah can't wait for my new 68040 ubermac ;)
why not get an old Mac for a few quid off Ebay or something? the Mac cult accepts all owners

this is the internet you know
in any event, don't you mean "Why did they get a reviewer who has trouble writing in english?" - not that i had any problems with what she wrote
why do you need Apple to make a desktop for Linux when a variety of Linuxes already install fine on Apple H/W

something about water and electricity not mixing well ;)
ARM wasn't bought by Intel but the StrongARM processor is owned by Intel i believe, this is where the confusion is coming from by you guys
well it might be built by Intel, i have no idea. the ARM chip is designed by ARM who then get other companies to actually make the silicon.
same thing, shortage of G4 chips that run at 2GHz+, a real acute shortage at that
Who cares how fast your G4 is clocked? It won't run OS X.
;)
really? i'll stick to my G3 iMac then...
my dad got ahold of a couple of these phones cheap, we did have a "base station" in the shops nearby (further than 100m though) so we never actually used the phones as mobile phones. they made for good cordless phones in the house though. compact.
what use would NTSC TVs be with PAL transmissions?
some company is going to soon be offering the DTT receiver for a lot less too i heard, 30 quid or something like that
my lexmark ain't bad, had no problems with it at all. its been used fairly intensively for over a year now.
because the lowest spec pro Mac available these days is an 800Mhz one (i'm talking the quicksilver powermacs - there are 700Mhz G4 iMacs and eMacs).

it works with or without it ;) - mind u the link off it is wrong... bah :D
http://homepage.mac.com/1/ doesn't work either though :p
